  1. Regarding the article in Digger about the “Wanton Waste” bill H411. I went on line, and listened to it after being told the Sunday before the Thursday “Zoom” hearing that I could not have my voice heard as they had filled their allotted 2 hr, limit. This “hearing” was the biggest, best argument as to why our Legislators should not be allowed to convene this kind of hearing that I have yet sat in on. It was supposedly set up so that the pros, and cons of this issue alternated back and forth. From what I can figure, about half of those signed up to speak were no shows leaving about 55 minutes of unused time at the end, in other words if this meeting were held in person, with the 2 minute limit, even with a minute in between each speaker there would have been time for another 18-19 people to speak, I also noticed the the overwhelming majority of those that did not “show” to speak were my fellow sportsmen and women. That smelled fishy to me. I do not, nor will I ever trust these two bit potentates to run a hearing like this in a non partisan manner, I’ve seen them attempt to do otherwise even in a more open setting before. These “zoom” meetings are like leaving the fox in charge of the hen house.

    • I am very sorry, I was wrong in my letter above. The meeting I was denied to partake in was the S129, S201, & S281 heating not the wanton waste H411 issue. That’s another pile of garbage entirely ! I am sorry for confusing these attempts at assaulting our Vermont hunting and trapping traditions…….
