Hall: ‘Thank you for being there for Vermont’

Dear Vermont Daily Chronicle:

Thank you for being there for Vermont. Your positioning and willingness to let the people be heard is somewhat of an abnormality when compared to other media, but one we can trust, and also very important is the ease with which you make your system click. The others have a long way to go. I make no apologies for them because I fully believe they are where they want to be. Thank you again.

James Hall, Rutland County

Editor’s response: Thank You, James. VDC is poised to cover more news in 2023. What WON’T change is our ‘without fear or favor’ approach to news coverage, and our commitment to allowing readers to comment and write letters to the editor and commentaries in the same spirit.

Without support from readers like Mr. Hall, Vermont Daily Chronicle could not, would not “be there” to provide daily news coverage. We strongly request and encourage that all readers who agree with Mr. Hall become Subscribing Readers by sending $108/year to Vermont Daily Chronicle, P.O. Box 1547, Montpelier, VT 05601.

  1. Mr. Page, I would like to find, in one place, a simple list of the stories reported in 2022 of your reports that were ignored or given short shift by Vermont’s other new outlets. The Randolf High School scandal might head the list but there are others that don’t easily come to mind because I’m not in the news reporting business, but all are startled at times by the reports unfound elsewhere.

Could you itemize those stories for us as a Year-End Review? It might accent the dimention of your mission’s value to us all.

    Thanks,
    John Goodrich
