On April 27, Governor Phil Scott signed into law these bills:
- H.461, An act relating to excluding the income of asylum seekers and refugees from household income. This law exempts money earned by legal refugees and asylum seekers from being included in the entire ‘household income’ of the home they are living in, for income tax purposes.
- H.718, An act relating to approval of the dissolution of Colchester Fire District No. 1
- S.74, An act relating to modifications to Vermont’s patient choice at end of life laws. This law eliminates a safeguard included in Act 46, the 2013 “physician-assisted suicide” law: that a person seeking end-of-life lethal drugs must first meet in person with a doctor, or any other health care provider.
- S.163, An act relating to State court petitions for vulnerable noncitizen youth. Allows the State of Vermont to offer to noncitizen youth services available to at-risk youth who are citizens.
- S.239, An act relating to enrollment in Medicare supplemental insurance policies

S.74 – you are free to kill yourself, but first, please, get your vax so we can add it to our death by COVID count.
I actually like this amendment…… My life. My choice.
S.74, An act relating to modifications to Vermont’s patient choice at end of life laws. This law eliminates a safeguard included in Act 46, the 2013 “physician-assisted suicide” law: that a person seeking end-of-life lethal drugs must first meet in person with a doctor, or any other health care provider.
If “my life, my choice” in Vermont were true – it would apply to those alive and well – not only to those ill and wishing to die. Mandating “do this or else” is not freedom, is not choice. Hence, the hypocrisy of the government allowing to choose death, but you can’t decline their demand to innoculate yourself with an unknown, untested serum that could cause your death….hmmmm
WHY do we keep hearing about Rino’s being an endangered species? They are prolific in both Vermont and in Washington D.C. Be very cautious when you see them though: They are indeed dangerous to life & limb, as evidenced here.
Way to go Philbo! Whatever you do, don’t give the poor, working Vermonters a break on their income tax. Oh yeah, I forgot, that’s because of the P/Ds, right?
Please retire so that we can get a new Republican leader in Vermont. And, when you leave, please take all of the other RINOs with you.
To Governor Scott, the Vermont legislature, their appointees, employees, and, most of all, to those who elect them:
It has, indeed, become tiresome, not to mention an extreme burden, being governed by insecure, virtue seeking souls struggling to think well of themselves at the expense of others. Your incompetence is exceeded only by your hypocrisy, vanity, and hubris.
There is an alternative motivation that can be assigned to our elected officials and their minions, other than the mere psychological desire to think well of themselves. Crime and coercion always go hand in hand. Always. And with the money and power at play in the world, it would be naive to think ‘organized crime’ isn’t at play, on a world-wide scale. And it would be equally naïve to think ‘wise guys’ (and gals) haven’t infiltrated our society down to the most basic municipal levels. History is replete with these instances.
What would you do or say if your livelihood were threatened? What if your family was threatened? Will you hold to the faith of Abraham in following the demands set forth by our elected officials, or in your neighbors who elected them?

This was totally unnecessary. The Democrats had already removed the safeguards in the End-of-Life law with the Free-Fentanyl-For-All importation initiative!
