Police looking for Eric Edson in Fairfax

FAIRFAX — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man who was involved in an armed robbery and pursuit in Burlington last week.

Police released surveillance photos of Eric Edson today.

The 52-year-old is wanted for the robbery of a man on Goose Pond Road.

Edson is also wanted for the theft of multiple vehicles in Cambridge and Fairfax.

He was most recently seen operating a full-size John Deere tractor in the Fairfax area, but his means of transportation at this point is unknown.

As of 3:45 p.m., troopers have increased their presence in Fairfax while investigating these reports.

Anyone who sees Edson is asked to call 911 or the VSP barracks in Williston at 802-878-7111 or in St. Albans at 802-524-5993.

  1. In this age of video cameras everywhere, surely the police can come up with a better image that will actually allow the public to help locate this dirtbag.

Is there a correlation between the police not wanting to do anything to physically interfere with a criminal, even an armed one (remember the beanbag incident where VSP troopers were criminally charged) and this guy comically ‘eluding’ the cops on a: bicycle, paddleboard, sailboat, and now tractor and dump truck!! Let’s trade in those Dodge Hemi police cruisers and big police SUVs for the e-bikes that Vermont Police are now appropriated to.
