Landon Outlaw is no longer on the lam. Police arrested the fugitive from justice last night in Coventry.

They say the 40-year-old impaired driver with many outstanding warrants has been missing since he fled the scene of an accident he caused when he went through a stop sign at the intersection of Rte. 5 and 14. Two people in the other car suffered serious injuries.

So did Outlaw. He was treated at Dartmouth Hitchcock but then apparently went missing. Police reported on the same day they were looking for Outlaw, thought to live in the Irasburg area. “Outlaw currently has multiple active arrest warrants. Outlaw is wanted out of Texas for a parole violation, possession of a controlled substance, and is warrant out of Vermont for Grossly Negligent Operation with Serious Bodily Injury Resulting, Driving While Under the Influence with Serious Bodily Injury Resulting, and Excessive Speed,” state police said.

Yesterday, state police acted on a tip and took him into custody without accident. He was jailed on $50,000 bail.
