  1. Free ranging cows ? That idea is just idiotic, but this says it all. “When I was in high school, in New York City”. Cows are a little bigger than chickens. When they collide with vehicles, there’s usually damage to the vehicle, and sometimes injuries to the motorists. Don’t enough people already get hurt by deer, and moose ? If we’re going to do that, let’s bring back the bison !

  2. “Leaky Roofs, Moldy Windows: State Library Department Seeks $15.9M for Repairs”. Why not just do as the Kellogg Hubbard Library in Montpelier does, shake down the surrounding towns by having them solicit money on the ballots on Town Meeting Day ! It works for them. Once again I’d like to have someone explain, without grinning how this is legal ? Getting these non-profit organizations on ballots to be approved so all tax payers have to support them, even though you may disagree with them is no better than extortion. I thought that charitable giving was by definition a voluntary proposition ? Guess not…..

  3. Good grief, Mr. Smith. Before you waste all of our time reading your admittedly ignorant take on pasturing cows, please first enlighten yourself and go talk to a few farmers. There are plenty of cows out there with shelter day and night that are free to come and go within a pasture. Times May have changed since you were in high school, but most farmers care deeply about the health of their animals. They are our livelihood.
