According to an X post by Orange County High Bailiff Christopher Helali, he’s in Iran to “honor, salute, and pray for” slain Iranian leader slain at the outset of the 2026 Iran – US war.
Furthermore, the post shows him standing in front of a banner that says Kill Trump.
According to an August, 2020 VDC story, Helali, of Vershire, is the son of an Iranian father and a Greek communist mother. He ran for Congress in 2020 as the candidate of the Communist Party USA.
He also is a friend and supporter of Mohsen Mahdawi, the anti-Israel protester living in Vermont and facing deportation, according to a VDC story posted last year. He was elected high bailiff in 2024.
Helali also conducted interviews with a Hamas leader following the attack of Israel in October, 2023.

I really hope the Iranians accuse him of being a spy (kill Americans and Trump) and hang him. Saves the US any expense. Being elected, is he trying to get some government position is his adopted country.? Revoke his citizenship. I woul n’t walk any street in VT if I were him on returning. Did the VT taxpayer pay for his trip? Or did Bernie miss the opportunity of linking up with him with his private jets? Some people are so sick they are beyond hope.
Analyzing the position this guy Helali put himself in isn’t very smart. There are clandestine operatives in the Iranian country dictated to by US and interests that can neutralize unwanted elements if an person is deemed an adversary to US interests. Many people have disappeared in such situations. All an organization has to do is implant (false) information to an enemy (Iran) that Helali is a US spy of sorts It’s standard procedure and has happened previously. Doesn’t pay to shoot your mouth off in dangerous places. Orange County should seek another High Baliff. Helali has nothing to gain, everything to loose, not smart. Wonder from what state he came from. Russia is good at it, well documented. Helali should have his passport revoked or un-citizenized.
So next time an unfamiliar name appears on your Mail-in Ballot running UNOPOSED for an “insignificant” office like High Baliff…. Do what I do; leave it blank. NEVER EVER VOTE FOR ANYONE WHO RUNS UNOPPOSED. It discourages opponents to challenge them.
Now I am unsure this man ran unopposed but I would bet a good bottle he did… Just Sayin’!
Don’t leave it blank…that’s an open invitation for cheating. Mark the oval for write-in and write in almost anyone’s name. That way the blank vote won’t mysteriously get marked in when nobody is looking.

If he stands in front of a poster in Iran saying to kill our President, and supports this, it is a cut and dried case of Treason and he should be charged thusly.

He is not just a traitor to America but to Iran. He must be a Vershire fascist. I have known dozens of Iranians over decades, and have spoken with many personally in the past two months. I’ve never met an Iranian who didn’t hate this regime. Cancel his passport and let him get a job there.
My experience has been the same. I’ve met many Iranian-Americans, many of them Christian or Jewish, and all hate this regime. They lost everything they had there.

Just a minute folks, you are missing a very important piece here. As High Bailiff he was required to take an oath of office. He is now in direct violation of oath due to statements (supporting the Iranian Regime and favoring the effort to assassinate our President) and actions, traveling to Iran to attend and support the Regime at their dictator’s funeral. The simple solution is to put a hold on his passport; he gets to stay out of our country. If he wants to live in Iran, fine by me but he isn’t going to like being there once the actual Iranian people get their country back.
Hopefully, Marco Rubio will not allow his re-entry into the US. Let him rot in Iran or he can try to catch the next round of incoming bombs and missles.
