Get ready for an action-packed day of speed, skill, grit, and western excitement as the Vermont High School Rodeo Association (VTHSRA) State Finals takes over Millbrook Horse Farm in Wells Saturday, May 30.
This open co-sanctioned event will showcase some of Vermont’s most talented young rodeo athletes competing in a variety of fan-favorite events including:
Barrel Racing
Pole Bending
Goat Tying
Breakaway Roping
The VTHSRA State Finals helps determine which athletes will earn the opportunity to represent Vermont on the national stage. The top four competitors in each event will qualify for nationals — with Junior High competitors advancing to Guthrie, Oklahoma and High School competitors heading to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete against the best youth rodeo athletes from across the country.
“This is more than just a competition — it’s a celebration of youth rodeo, sportsmanship, determination, and the incredible talent we have here in Vermont,” organizers shared.
Spectators are encouraged to come out, cheer on the riders, and experience the excitement of high school rodeo up close. From lightning-fast barrel runs to precision roping and incredible horsemanship, this event promises excitement for the whole family.
