Springfield, MA man arrested for vicious Northfield assault

Northfield Police report arresting a 22-year-old Springfield Massachusetts man for strangling a person. He also stabbed with a sharp broom handle and repeatedly punched the victim, police say.

On December 16, Dazon Williams (22 years of age, of Springfield MA) was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault, Interference with Access to Emergency Services, all while children were present.

That day, Detective Carrie Tucker was dispatched to the report of an ongoing domestic located in the Falls area of Northfield. Berlin Police and VSP Berlin assisted. Upon arrival she spoke with Williams who denied any wrongdoing. The victim advised Williams had strangled the victim until the point that the victim could not breathe, and the night prior had stabbed the victim with a sharp metal broom handle. The victim also advised of several black and blues, which were observed. The victim advised Williams punches the victim all the time and also had put the victim through the door the prior night.

Williams was held without bail through the weekend with a court date set for December 19 at the Washington County Superior Court.
