Release of Investigation by office of Sen. Ron Johnson
On Sunday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) released preliminary findings relating to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during his July 13, 2024 campaign rally in Butler, PA.
Immediately following the shooting, Senator Johnson’s office began contacting federal, state, and local government entities as well as private companies seeking information about the security failures at the rally. The preliminary findings released today are based on the initial information the senator’s office obtained over the last week.
The senator is sharing this information with the public to be transparent and to ensure that all entities examining the assassination attempt are equipped with this information. The five preliminary findings are listed below:
- Secret Service did not attend a security briefing provided to local special weapons and tactics (SWAT) and sniper teams the morning of July 13, 2024;
- Local law enforcement said communications were siloed and they were not in frequent radio contact directly with Secret Service;
- Local law enforcement notified command about Crooks prior to the shooting and received confirmation that Secret Service was aware of the notification;
- Following the shooting Secret Service was seen on the roof of the American Glass Research (AGR) building with local law enforcement; photos of the shooter were sent to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for facial recognition; and
- Secret Service was initially not going to send snipers to the rally, according to local law enforcement.
A timeline is also enclosed with these preliminary findings highlighting significant events based on information obtained by the senator’s office.
On July 14, 2024, Senator Johnson wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray demanding a preservation of records, information relating to the security of the Butler rally, background information on the alleged gunman, and all texts and communications between law enforcement agents, including Secret Service personnel, relating to the rally from July 11, 2024 to July 14, 2024.
To date, the Department of Justice (DOJ), DHS, and FBI have failed to provide any of the requested information and have not even confirmed that they will preserve the relevant records. The federal agencies’ continued lack transparency with both Congress and the American public is entirely unacceptable.
Senator Johnson’s office will continue to pursue the truth and in doing so, encourages anyone with relevant information on the July 13, 2024 assassination attempt or the alleged shooter to come forward to his office and email his whistleblower account: Whistleblower_PSIJohnson@hsgac.senate.gov.

Wow. It’s almost like the current administration was hoping this would happen, and are now in coverup mode since it didn’t.

Let’s see, the shooter had several offshore banking accounts. How much money do you need to open them accounts and where did he get the money.
The shooter flew a drone over the assassination site but was only considered suspicious but not a threat.
The shooter was seen with a range finder which is only used for one thing. Range finder + drone would be considered a threat in my book.
Shooter was spotted an hour before assassination attempt.
The Secret Service counter snipers were on a higher sloped roof than the sniper. yet Cheatle did not put anyone on shooters roof because it was too steep.
The Secret Service used local law enforcement to cover the areas outside the rally site.
People at the rally pointed the sniper out before he took the shots.
They knew that there was a threat yet let Trump take the stage.
IMHO – They set up the conditions to allow this event to happen. There is more than one person involved with this assassination attempt. Will we ever know? We don’t even know all the particulars of JFK’s assassination.
One good thing, whoever it was had their chance and missed so a second attempt will be greatly diminished., thank God.

Yes, money problems and turning back the clock on Vermont’s State House issues lie ahead. It will take all of you above and 1000’s more. There’s work to be done. Don’t expect Trump to be able to clean out the deep state alone. Vermont let their tentacles wrap around us well. EVERY Vermonter with concerns for FREEDOM and UNITY remaining with US Constitutional Rights will need to dig in and muck out. It may be more challenging than Beryl recovery. Should we EXPECT to need snipers?! That’s a sad thought…
The lack of information may be suspicious, but it also makes sense. There is HOPEFULLY an ongoing investigation, and an easy way to screw that up would be to reveal too much too soon. Especially when we don’t have a real idea of the scope of that investigation. Or who may be implicated by it.
Does anyone else catch the whiff of a “Grassy Knoll” scenario somewhere in this assassination attempt?
