Policy for The People will host a Candidates of Color Forum Friday June 10, bringing together educated and engaged leaders from across Vermont to discuss the issues shaping the state’s future and share their visions for public service.
Featuring candidates seeking office in the 2026 election cycle, the forum will showcase individuals whose combined experience spans education, healthcare, family and children’s services, community advocacy, business, youth leadership, and public office. Together, these candidates bring decades of professional, civic, and political experience to conversations about Vermont’s future.
Learn more about the platforms of:
• Incumbent Representative Golrang “Rey” Garofano, Chittenden-23 (Democrat)

• Esther Charlestin, candidate for Lieutenant Governor (Democrat)

• Brandolyn Bradley, candidate for the Caledonia-Essex House District (Independent)

• Javen Sears, candidate for Vermont State Senate, Chittenden Southeast District (Republican)

As the founder of Policy for The People, I believe voters deserve opportunities to hear directly from qualified candidates whose careers and lived experiences have prepared them to lead. This forum is an opportunity to learn more about the expertise, leadership, and vision these candidates would bring to public office,” PFTP Executive Director Jac Posey said.
The discussion will focus on issues that affect Vermonters across the political spectrum, including housing, healthcare, education, taxation, and strengthening communities throughout the state.
This live virtual event will be made available to the public through Burlington’s Town Meeting TV, ensuring voters throughout Vermont can access the conversation regardless of location or accessibility needs.
