Former Planned Parenthood employee expected to be elected Speaker tomorrow

When the Vermont Legislature convenes for the 2021 session tomorrow, the House of Representatives is expected to elect Jill Krowinski (D-Burlington) as the next Speaker of the House. Krowinski, has close ties to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE), Vermont’s largest abortion provider and legislative advocate. Krowinski will hold the gavel and set the agenda for the 2021-2022 session.

According to Vermont Right to Life, Krowinski was employed for eight years as Vice President of Education and Public Affairs for PPNNE.  In her role for the pro-abortion organization, Krowinski oversaw Planned Parenthood’s illegal political campaign activities conducted in violation of state laws.

Those activities involved illegally raising and spending nearly $120,000 to run televisions ads against then-candidate for Governor, Brian Dubie, in 2010, Vermont Right to Life said.

Diligent pro-life efforts uncovered the violations and a complaint was filed with the Attorney General’s office. Thanks to ongoing pressure, the office of the Attorney General took action nearly 2 years after the complaint was first filed, and PPNNE agreed to pay a fine of $30,000.

Planned Parenthood’s last minute attack ads may well have cost Brian Dubie the election and helped pro-legal abortion Peter Shumlin win by a very narrow margin.

Shortly after winning the election, Shumlin appointed Krowinski to an open House seat where she then quickly rose to power, serving as Majority Leader and now Speaker of the House.

As Majority Leader, Krowinski helped to promote passage of a bill to legalize abortion through all nine months of pregnancy and also promote Proposal 5, an amendment to add abortion rights into Vermont’s Constitution.  Both measures have the added effect of protecting her former employer, Planned Parenthood, and their near monopoly on Vermont’s abortion business.

“Despite being responsible for illegal campaign activity – or maybe because she is willing to do anything to win – Krowinski has been elected by her fellow Democrats to be Speaker of the House, the most powerful position in the Vermont House of Representatives,” stated Sharon F. Toborg, Treasurer, Vermont Right to Life, Political Committee.

Editor’s note: A Jan. 4 VT Digger profile says nothing about Krowinski’s lengthy work experience with Planned Parenthood, but does publish the following interesting facts:

  1. Krowinski moved to Vermont from New York in 2002 to work on political campaigns. ” She was drawn to Vermont politics because two years prior the state was the first to legalize civil unions for same-sex couples,” VT Digger reported.
  2. Krowinski will be part of an all-female leadership team in the Legislature, along with Senate President and Lt. Gov. Molly Gray and Senate Pro Tem Becca Balint (D-Windham).
  3. She is married to Tim Farbicz, a UVM Medical Center ultrasound technician.

    • Because politics in Vermont are left of San Francisco. Haven’t you noticed that Gov Scott ran both times as a Republican, but within 6 months of his first election he could easily have joined the Progressive party without missing a beat.

    • A human embryo is not like a pumpkin seed.

Both will grow large and fast, but the embryo WILL grow to a full life, while a seed has just possibilities.

You would be squemish about chopping the head off your thanksgiving turkey, but your son or daughter , not so much?!?!

  1. That is a bias, and bad decision,a sign that the legislature once again will be not caring for Life Liberty and the pursuit of happiness?!

  2. In Vermont, Planned Parenthood and our state’s government and institutions are joined at the hip. It is broad corruption and cronyism. A former national-level PP director is also a medical director at the Medical Center Hospital in Burlington. And we are pushing to change the Vermont Constitution to allow abortion up to the moment of birth, a position even Phil Scott is not opposing. Vermont is embracing human sacrifice and gross immorality. Our political leaders on both sides of the aisle have lost their moral compasses.
