The Democratic candidates for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general are all graduates of a Democrat-run ‘boot camp’ for candidates – as are many other candidates and incumbents in Vermont’s elected government.
The candidates in the November, 2026 general election listed below are graduates of the Emerge Vermont Democrat candidate boot camp which trains women to run for office. You can find their website here: Emerge Vermont.
“Each of the candidates listed are committed to a fully pro-abortion agenda and if elected would act as the ground troops for Planned Parenthood’s radical abortion legislation aims,” according to a statement by Vermont Right to Life, which published the list in a recent newsletter.
The Emerge website at present does not explicitly cite support for abortion rights as a qualification: “Applicants must identify as women or non-binary and Democrats and reside in Vermont. Emerge embraces diversity and encourages applications from all women regardless of age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, immigration status, marital status, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or physical ability. Our mission to build the bench of Democratic women ready to run for office acknowledges both systemic and historic barriers to running for office as well as the barriers women impose on themselves.”
However, the Vermont Democratic Party and its leadership have supported the Reproductive Liberty Amendment, which codified reproductive autonomy and abortion access directly into the state constitution; have advocated for a universal, publicly financed healthcare system where reproductive healthcare is treated as essential, medically necessary care, and has backed state legislation to ‘shield’ patients and healthcare providers from out-of-state restrictions, criminalization attempts, and civil litigation related to reproductive and gender-affirming care.

Role of men, according to Emerge – Emerge Vermont also works with men in politics – but not without qualifiers and conditions, as shown by this excerpt from the Emerge Vermont website:
“How can men help? Men are important partners and supporters of Emerge Vermont and the women we train to run for office. Men are often the life partners, chief funders or advisors, and super-volunteers or staffers for women running for office. We cannot win elections without men on our team as supporters and voters. In fact, men are so valuable to Emerge Vermont that we created Men for Emerge Vermont to underscore their importance to our efforts.
“However, men can also create barriers for women seeking elected office. Men in politics often tell women to wait their turn, take a smaller role, run for a lower office, or not seek leadership positions. Men sometimes dismiss women or simply ignore us, as they climb the ladder or block the pipeline seeking to increase and protect their own political power.
“So, while Emerge values the men involved with our work on all levels, we also challenge men to examine their own role in perpetuating a political culture that is not welcoming or inclusive of new and diverse voices. We urge men to understand that true power is shared power, and that gender equality benefits not only women, but our communities, families, and democracy.”
The Republican Party in Vermont has no parallel, ongoing ‘boot camp’ training organization.

Any GOP minded woman who is interested in a similar experience can contact The Vermont Federation of Republican Women. They are the state chapter of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW). Its stated mission mirrors Emerge America: to recruit, train, and elect Republican women, and to build female leaders in local and statewide civic arenas.
Now we know where those ladies got their training stirring newt eyes, frog toes, and dark potions in bubbling caldrons of moon water.
Demonizing women who are perceived as troublesome, ambitious, powerful, argumentative, independent, or unwilling to conform to expected female roles is misogynistic. Or are you trying to be funny? (You’re not.)
I portray these women as witches not because they are troublesome, powerful, argumentative, etc.—all admirable traits—but because, as women who wield enormous, almost supernatural, power over the people of Vermont, they have caused great damage to the state with the toxic, woke potions they cook up.
If there were a boot camp for men with a similar purpose and whose members relegated women to subservient roles and dominated state institutions with a radical, destructive ideology, I would have been equally critical of them.
Mark if you are trying to be intelligent, you’re not
This is just a partial list of the toxic matriarchy that has overtaken and destroyed this once beautiful state through suicidal empathy and it’s cornerstone philosophy of lack of punishment/accountability. It is by no means a complete list, however, as in our own community of Milton/Essex, Irene Wrenner, Julia Andrews and our Democratic Committee Chair, Lonnie Poland, are also graduates of this subversive grooming gang, once led by Elaine Haney.
I’ve had concerns about Emerge Vermont for a long time, and its own words reinforce those concerns.
Let’s be clear about what this organization does. Emerge recruits, trains, and connects Democratic women to run for office and win. Its graduates hold 131 elected and appointed offices across Vermont. This is a political network with a substantial presence in our state’s institutions, not simply a group encouraging women to become involved in public service.
Now consider how Emerge describes men.
Men are valuable as partners, donors, advisers, volunteers, campaign staff, and voters. Their money, labor, loyalty, and support are welcome.
But the organization then warns that men obstruct women’s advancement, dismiss their ambitions, tell them to wait their turn, and protect their own political power.
Apparently, men are welcome as long as they help women gain power and that’s it.
Imagine an organization training men to run for office publishing the same message about women. Imagine it portraying women as a group that blocks advancement, protects its own power, and undermines men’s ambitions. Would we dismiss that as harmless empowerment? Or would we recognize the sexist generalizations for what they are?
Why, then, should Emerge Vermont’s rhetoric be exempt from the same scrutiny?
I am particularly concerned about what I see as a growing willingness to substitute empathy for accountability, to excuse destructive consequences in the name of compassion, and to advance sweeping changes in our understanding of gender and identity without sufficient consideration of the social consequences or meaningful public debate.
And an appeal to inclusion should never be used to silence people who question the consequences of the policies being advanced.
Nor should we ignore the gender double standard. Men are not a collective political adversary. They are fathers, husbands, partners, business owners, workers, taxpayers, volunteers, and citizens. They have their own struggles, ambitions, and contributions to make. They deserve the same respect and fair treatment that women rightly demand.
Equality should mean equal standards. Empathy should not erase accountability. And no political organization should be above criticism simply because it claims to speak in the name of inclusion, when it’s very nature is anything but. It’s exclusive to Democrats, and to women only. That is the opposite of inclusion.
Brilliant points and presentation in your comments. “Suicidal empathy” speaks volumes describing the methodology of leftist useful idiots observable by their feelings-based virtue signaling.
Should rename it Commie Camp.

Rebecca “Becca” White grew up in the village of Wilder in the town of Hartford and currently lives with her husband, Dylan, and extended family in White River Junction. The incumbent Democratic state senator is a regional training director for Emerge America, a national organization that recruits and trains women and nonbinary candidates for public office. She has also worked as a renewable energy advocate and a cashier at a cooperative market.
Thanks, Annette. I didn’t know that (like so much of the information you share with us). But not surprised
Sure, this is all so cringeworthy that disturbs the average male, oops, am I allowed to use that word based on your platform? “So, while Emerge values the men involved with our work on all levels, we also challenge men to examine their own role in perpetuating a political culture that is not welcoming or inclusive of new and diverse voices. We urge men to understand that true power is shared power, and that gender equality benefits not only women, but our communities, families, and democracy.”
Emerge values the men involved, as long as they do what they are told.
HOLY S***** See how far this has gone…..while we were all sleeping? OUT! All incumbents in “our” Legislature……..OUT! in the election. DO IT! Over & over until this cures…..
“…Janoo and the Democratic Socialist Party seek the nationalization of our lives…” Sounds like Facism, which they accuse the GOP of. B Musalini coined a phrase for their Party in Italy in the 1930’s, “Everything for the State, Everything inside the State, Nothing Against the State.” Sound familiar with everything run by the US Government as proposed by the Dem/DSA Left?
Did anyone ask these lovely women if they would support a law to promote legal prostitution????? I believe some in the Vermont Statehouse were pushing that idea. Comment from Richard Day.
I haven’t seen or heard of any intelligence from anyone on this list. Being “schooled” indicates they are being programed to be puppets, mouthing and acting crapology from their masters. There’s a difference in the positions of these individuals, to be elected they say one thing, then get elected they become a different animal and to hell with people and the state. They are destructive, just robots all doing the goose step. The outcome is if they all band together, they win in numbers to control in all aspects of VT life, which has been happening. People like Mark will vote for them blind-less. Note how he’s kissing up to them and other socialists. The saying from a few years ago WELCOME TO VERMONT, NOW LEAVE remains on people’s minds.
