40 Days for Life spreads to three Vermont cities

Barre kickoff Sunday, 1 pm

For the first time ever, the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil on sidewalks near Vermont abortion clinics will be held in three cities: Barre, Rutland and Burlington.

The Barre spring campaign kickoff will be held Sunday, February 19 at 1pm in the Parish Hall at St. Monica Church, on Summer Street, Barre. Veteran pro-life activists Gerry Callan of Waterbury Center will speak about her experiences through the years.

For more information, go to http://www.40daysforlife.com. Information specific to each city is available there.

The visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life is a focused, 40-day, prayer vigil outside a single Planned Parenthood center or other abortion facility.

It is a peaceful and educational presence. Those who are called to stand witness send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion. It also serves as a call to repentance for those who work at the abortion center and those who patronize the facility.

  1. God bless these brave souls, so opposed by the world, to carry the message against infanticide, abortion.

  2. The Vermont ‘death cult’ is flourishing – and being recognized for what it is.

It’s all reminiscent of the Twilight Zone episode – To Serve Man (with aliens providing a manual showing how earhly humans can be healthy and thrive).

    My advice to out-of-staters…

As the Twilight episode comes to an end and the protagonist is boarding a plane to Vermont, a colleague who finally deciphers the ‘manual’ runs to loading gate and too late yells this warning – Don’t get on! Don’t get on! It’s a cookbook!
