In Fairlee yesterday, Vermont State Police arrested a convicted sex offender who law enforcement and media reports have previously described as an “armed and dangerous white supremacist.”
The Journal-Opinion reports that VSP said Christopher Palermo, 48, of Andover, New Hampshire was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a traffic stop on Route 5. He is the subject of two extraditable warrants — both out of New Hampshire.
VSP also cited him for resisting arrest and providing false information to police. Palermo reportedly had ties to the Brother of the White Warrior prison gang and Nazi and neo-Nazi tattoos or symbols on his body.
