Chittenden County State’s Attorney Sarah George has strong ties to Fair and Just Prosecution, a George Soros-funded organization backing progressive criminal prosecutors nationwide.

George Soros is a billionaire who for decades has funded socially progressive issues, including decarceration and marijuana legalization. Between 2016 and 2020, Soros’ Open Society Foundation gave the Tides Center and sister organizations, the Tides Foundation and Tides Advocacy, over $30 million. Fair and Just Prosecution (FJP) is a “project of the Tides Center” and serves as professional development and advocacy arm of the progressive prosecutor movement, issuing policy statements and amicus briefs as well as taking its member-prosecutors on domestic and international junkets. In 2019, over two dozen Soros-linked DAs traveled (all expenses paid) on FJP junkets to Scotland, Germany, Portugal, and Kenya, the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF) reports

Make no mistake about it, Sarah George is a shining star in the Fair and Just Prosecution firmament. On the FJP website, she is listed as one of 15 members of “The Movement.”

“With communities across the nation reimagining public safety and calling for an end to mass incarceration, a new generation of elected prosecutors has emerged with a powerful vision to transform the criminal legal system. Fair and Just Prosecution is inspired by these bold and visionary leaders and proud to work alongside them to create a fair, equitable, and compassionate justice system for all,” FJP gushes about George and several other local prosecutors, including:

  • Chesa Boudin, San Francisco (since recalled by disgruntled voters)
  • Kim Foxx, Chicago
  • Larry Krasner, Philadelphia
  • George Gascon, Los Angeles

While there is no evidence that George has received any financial compensation from the Soros-backed FJP, there is ample photographic evidence that George has been a regular on FJP junkets worldwide and in the United States. All photos are taken from FJP social media.

Vermont Daily Chronicle reached out to George by email this morning for comment on her involvement with FJP. Her response, when received, will be published promptly.

  1. Move over Sarah George and all other progressive prosecutors . Time to follow the science of criminality . As the neuroanatomical anatomical discovery of the brain locations of human pathological behavior is improving dramatically with MRI , the understanding and assessment of criminal behavior is becoming clearer and the hypothesis of socio economical factors as causation of the criminal act can become slowly eliminated . It is not ” normal “to be” able “to hurt someone.
“Neuroscientists from Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore), the University of Pennsylvania, and California State University have discovered a biological distinction between psychopaths and non-psychopaths. Using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, scientists discovered that the striatum, an area of the forebrain, was 10% bigger in psychopathic people compared to a control group of individuals with low or no psychopathic traits.
Psychopaths, or those with psychopathic qualities, are people who have an egotistical and antisocial disposition. This is often characterized by a lack of guilt for their actions, a lack of empathy for others, and, in some cases, criminal tendencies.” https://scitechdaily.com/scientists-have-established-a-key-biological-difference-between-psychopaths-and-normal-people/?fbclid=IwAR3lNWHDYvMiQt3-MivgymI9VMh0Jv8PnAxiOQOeGqBUG8HIY9_zql2cgOo

  2. What do you think Vermonters? Do you want a Soros-backed prosecutor in Vermont? Make sure you Election is not Rigged!

  3. Vermonters are not safe with this Modern day secular Progressive in office. She represents the interests of criminals, not victims. Moreover, she even less for any issue not centered around her Holy Trinity of race, gender, or sexual identity. Vermonters need to take notice and dismiss her from office. Do it while you still have the opportunity. Return Vermont to the safe place it once was.

  4. Interesting, she shares the basic tenants of the big city District Attorneys. One of whom from San Francisco a Progressive Democrat with a questionable background, was just recalled by a 60% to 40% margin in a district that has only single digit Republican registration. Do we want a DA like Los Angeles or Seattle or Philadelphia? Just turn them loose to again repeat crimes, mayhem, even murder! They refuse to demand cash bail, resent incarceration and fail to respect the testimony of established law enforcement agencies. Let’s see how she tip toes around the Soros questions?

  5. One need only read the headlines of VDC to comprehend the reality of sarah george’s eliteist liberal actions and the result in Chittenden County. She becomes complicit as a result of her non- action and liberal assault on the communities she purports to serve. As assaults and other crimes continue without prosecution by her office, she and every one that works for her office is equally complicit in the crimes occurring. It is up to the complacent silent majority of Chittenden county voters to hold this woman accountable for her actions- and the actions of others left unprosecuted.
