  1. When will you get fed up with the state and non profits telling you what you can do with your private property??????

  2. “Senate President Pro Tem Phil Baruth and House Speaker Jill Krowiniski asked Clark to issue a formal opinion on the executive order” The title of “Three Stouges” is already spoken for. How about the Marx Brothers” ? You know Harpo, Bepo, and Groucho. Oh yeah then there is there long lost brother Skid, but that is another story!

  3. As of October 2025, Zillow is reporting an inventory of 3,066 homes for sale in Vermont. Of that figure, 808 new listings. Of sales, over 52% sold under list price – the median sale price $388,750. Mortgage rates between 5.3% to 6.25%. Median incomes reported at $85K (Federal Reserve) to $74,000 (US Census.)

Is there really a housing shortage in little ole VT? Or is the Truth there is a bloated inflated market that has priced out average buyers, yoked sellers to homes they can’t sell for what they need, and the rest are never going to afford or own home no matter what – always leveraged by increasing taxes, fees, and whatever else they come up with to ding incomes that are never going to keep up with expenses.

The “affordability” moniker is witchcraft wordcraft. The real crisis is a devalued currency, vaporizing liquidity, drowning in debt, and the ever widening gap between the haves and the have nots. The middle class is fast becoming the lower class. When top executives earn 180% or much higher than the lowest paid person on the payroll – the devil is indeed in the details and many devils among us there are – liars and deceivers. No honor among thieves.

    • Melissa, there is most definitely a housing issue in Vermont. The affordable housing scam is a contributor; they are making huge profits off of keeping people poor by renting from the government.

We do have a housing issue, try and build a new home, then get back to me. It’s all bit insane.

    • @Neil, I built my home here in 2011, no problems other than my contractor was a nut job! Had awesome carpenters and it was up and done in 4 months!!!

  4. Isn’t what happened at a smoke shop in South Burl. grounds for cancelling that business’ license? Selling “weed” to minors when they are not supposed to be selling “weed”, and in what is considered to be too close to a school?????
Looks like a prime opportunity for major fines, closing down the business, and making an example of breaking the laws!!!!
