  1. In such missing cases, VSP routinely fail. As mentioned regarding the Middlebury and Andover failures, experienced, professional deer trackers and hounders are the best resources. Some so dedicated to their craft to have invested by learning from the Maasai. Tracking a targeted animal for miles over bare,dry ground. Terrain where sign is all but invisible. This is no job for hacks. Prayers outbound.
