Vermont preppers featured in Kunstler film documentary

Last week, Los Angeles based filmmakers Declan McInerney & Connor Kovack traversed Vermont, New Hampshire and upstate NY., filming and interviewing homesteaders, farmers & preppers, for an upcoming documentary about their unique response to the the looming crises facing America.

The film, “The Long Emergency,” is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2024. It’s a documentary feature film about what producers believe is a looming energy crisis featuring author and social critic James Howard Kunstler.

The film is loosely based on Kunstler’s 2020 book, “Living in the Long Emergency,” with interviews and visits with various people throughout the country, many in Vermont and New England, who have each responded in their own unique ways to the predicaments created by policies which have led to the current energy and fiscal crises. The film retraces these steps with additional interviews and the stories of many of these same people.

More information can be found at the movie website and on Twitter.
