by Jarrod Vaillancourt

I’ve spoken before, and I’ve told you that many parents share my concerns. To be honest, parents are tired of the empty rhetoric and gaslighting that we’ve received from this school administration.

Jarrod Vaillancourt

Parents are tired of the OUTRIGHT promotion of gender ideology in our schools. We’re tired of Critical Race Theory, we’re tired of Anti-Racist policies, which is just racism by a different name, and we’re tired of the ever-changing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. These initiatives are actively promoted by the leadership in this school district.

I think that you will say that you are just following guidelines from the VT Agency of Education. However, just because you have the right to do something, does not mean that you are right in doing it.

To borrow a term from you, Parents are tired of being marginalized. But most importantly, the educational needs of our children are not being met.

You admitted that our children continue to be well below proficiency. Children are struggling with reading, math, and science.

But do you know what they are not struggling with?

Knowing about climate change. Identifying victims and oppressors. Blaming everything on white supremacy or the patriarchy. Being activists. And they definitely are not struggling with knowing what pronoun to use.

We hear from parents that have sent their kids to college, and they quickly realize how woefully unprepared they are. And despite all this, every year we hear the same thing.

If we just had more money, we could hire more staff, we could offer more programs, we could be more equitable. Children’s education would be better.

We have heard the same things for over 30 years, and the only thing that we’ve seen, is an education system that has grown larger and more expensive, and educational results, despite good intentions, that have gotten worse.

We’ve heard from many of you here that systemic racism is a problem in our schools. That is not true. But what is a problem is the systemic bureaucracy in the public education system that continually gets rewarded with more of our tax dollars despite producing dismal results.

This comes at a significant cost both financially, and to the future of our community.

  1. Jarrod is right. Too much has been removed from our curriculum. Pupils can’t sign their names to checks or important documents. They have difficulty reading. They can’t do any kind of math without the aid of a mechanical device. They lack knowledge of geography. Too many times I’ve heard people exclaim that they didn’t know that New Mexico was a state. Most young people lack knowledge of government whether state or local. I often wonder if this has any bearing on the great reduction in voting.
Many schools no longer teacher home economics. Most schools have dropped the civics course. Elementary schools generally don’t teach geography or penmanship. Being a former teacher, I am amazed at the number of students who can’t do a simple thing like telling time with the sweep hand classroom clocks.

    • I totally agree with you! The things they should be taught aren’t even thought about anymore! Most students don’t actually know what Socialism really is or the destruction it brings to Countries. In their minds it’s a great idea! I learned about it and Communism in school! Civics was one of the best classes I ever took. I understand how Government is supposed to work. I bet most students today don’t even know the three Branches of Government or even that there are three. Home Ec gave me many skills I have used throughout my life. Geography is important because they need to understand where different Countries are that may be fighting or standing together.
They also need a class on money management, paying taxes, Mortgages etc. Anything relating to gender, race etc doesn’t belong in a school curriculum. I’m elderly, on a fixed income and school taxes are killing us. The waste is out of Control! We need to make significant curriculum changes, cut unnecessary positions and lower the School taxes!

  2. When a majority of the yoots graduate with a nominal level of proficiency in math, science and english, then maybe we can go back to discussing left-wing obsessions like sexual orientation, gender expression and race in public schools. Until then, keep that crap OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS. American Flag, Vermont State Flag and POW Flag only on a taxpayer-financed flagpole.

  3. This is indoctrination, via the government indoctrination centers for Cultural Marxism, it is the first and most import and part of subverting a country, taking it over militarily. If you read Sun Tzu, The Art of War, this is considered the highest form of warfare.

Here is Yuri explaining it in great detail, back in the 1980’s and somehow he predicted perfectly what we are experiencing in 2025, perhaps one of the most enlightening videos on the internet, he also gives a solution.

Enjoy, read the comments below video, watch for yourself, don’t believe me…..see for yourself. Enjoy.

  4. This whole government school thing has been a long work in progress. Here is a wonderful woman explaining in great detail, what is going on and what is not going on. There is a very strong reason, Vermont Schools are an impenetrable organization, it is the root of the most powerful force for subversion.

There is a reason they want us dumb, fearful and fighting each other, oblivious to the great grifting going on, the stealing, abuse and misappropriation of taxpayer money and our form of governance. Ill-informed populaces are easily controlled, more so when you convince them they are democracy, foment envy and strife.

  5. I can guarantee you they are not teaching this in any Vermont high school. Just think an hour-long lecture gives students more history and education about their government than 4 years in Vermont Government schools.

Now the really scary part is this. Listening to all the dirty deeds done by past royalty, and comparing what is going on in The United States of America, is sobering, it is remarkable how patterns are not recognized by most of our populace, perhaps because none of them have this basic knowledge.

    Enjoy, wonderful video……truly wonderful.

  6. Vladimir Lenin, who is quoted as saying, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted,” This is the Leftist plan for public education only it’s worse now because the Left has them for at least 12 years.

School choice solves this. Let parents decide what kind of curriculum and culture they want their children to experience.

Everyone should read Rob’s missive on ‘Act 73 Survey: Time to Tell ‘Em What You Really Think!’

And then FILL OUT THE SURVEY!… in support of School Choice.

    • If they can’t ‘swing’ School Choice, they likely can’t swing ‘opt out’ governance either. They are, after all, one in the same.

  8. When the “secret societies” emerge from their dark hidey-hole shadows, they commence to steal, kill and destroy – as their Master commands. They target the innocents, they corrupt the innocents, they harm the innocents. Mystery Babylon is falling under the weight of it’s own corruption and degeneracy. It won’t be long now – the final battle, the final chapter is unfolding. As the Universe winds up it’s divine forces of nature, the collosal strike against the wicked and their wickedness will be undeniable and justified. Keep going reprobates, the Creator is swinging for a line drive over the fence – never misses or loses an address. The season finale will be one for the ages – guaranteed.

  9. we also must have more classroom time! no more teacher in service days, let them in service no there own time. no more early dismissal, there are now 5 fo them in the school year. increase the number of educational days from the never been changed of 180 days, in which the last 5 are garbage clean out your desk or locker days.
the unions need to wield less power and they are not allowe do say its about the kids, it not, its about the power of the union

  10. Sometimes I get the sense that it has to do with the wussificafion of America, and that there’s this idea that basic, rigorous, disciplined teaching and learning is somehow too harsh on the children and might hurt their feelings. It has become a culture in which feelings are now paramount and have replaced truth.

Perhaps speculation and over generalization on my part here, but with God having been told He’s no longer welcome in our public schools for the last sixty-three years, we’re reaping the rotten fruit. Foundations of basic respect for authority have been crumbling for years. And if the authority of teachers is not respected, it undermines everything else being built upon these foundations. All the crap they heap on students nowadays has progressively crowded out good basic education, not only of the three Rs, but how to communicate and interact normally in society. To Mr. Vaillancourt’s point, experimental social agendas and faddish ideologies are supplanting good education.
