The U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote as early as Tuesday on H.R. 3492, titled the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, legislation that would prohibit gender-related medical interventions for minors.
The upcoming vote was relayed to VDC today by Marie Tiemann of Vermont Parents in Education, a group that has been active in opposing gender-transition-related policies involving children. In a statement, Tiemann said she plans to urge Vermonters to contact members of the state’s congressional delegation ahead of the vote.
“I’ll post a comment on X to encourage people to call our Vermont representatives to vote for this bill,” Tiemann said, while adding that she does not expect Vermont’s delegation to support the measure.
According to the bill text, H.R. 3492 would ban certain medical and surgical interventions related to gender transition for individuals under the age of 18. Supporters of the legislation argue that such decisions should be delayed until adulthood and say the bill is intended to protect minors from irreversible procedures. Opponents counter that the measure interferes with medical decision-making and access to care supported by some medical organizations.
Vermont’s lone House member and its two U.S. senators, all Democrats, have previously opposed similar legislation at the federal and state levels, making support from the state’s delegation unlikely.

Good luck in ‘reaching out’ to our elected ‘representatives’, they will vote the Democrat/Communist Party Line as usual
“Medical interventions” for children? Is that what removing the male genitalia from a 12-year-old boy is called now? Or performing a double mastectomy on a physically healthy 14-year-old girl?
Sounds like the similar verbal gymnastics or weaponization of language used to describe abortion – i.e.: the intentional murder of a developing fetus, when referring to it as “women’s health care”.
The surgeons who perform these operations are evil…. Nothing but nazis.
Don’t let the progressives get away with calling these body-mutilating surgeries on minors as life affirming. This is NOT life affirming. They are just opening up that child to a lifelong mental health nightmare—depressed, sterilized having to deal with poor body image because of painful disfiguring surgeries that cannot be reversed —-due to what-something they may have outgrown if they had just waited?
I want the progressive democrats to have their names on this bill so parents know who to sue.
And I want this 80-20 issue to be on every voters mind for the mid-term elections in 2026.
Today HHS has finally come out and said that doctors and hospitals will loose federal funding if they continue to do these body mutilating surgeries and/or give minors chemical castrating drugs that sterilize young people. It’s barbaric!!!! These are our children-children that will be the ruling class one day and will exact justice on the doctors and hospitals that wrecked their futures so wise up.
A young woman was on the news program stating her parents were blackmailed into transitioning her with removing her breasts and giving her gender changing drugs because she would commit suicide otherwise. Well they lied to her parents, they lied to her. She said she never thought about suicide until they did the life altering , poor body image surgeries on her!!! She’s coming back . Her spirituality is what’s getting her through it.
And this is what hurts me the most-is that they tell children-that there is no God. That not to believe in God and children can be god and change their own genders as often as they want. They can’t and these doctors from the American Medical Association and American Pediatric Association need to change their stance, change their minds, reverse course. Maybe even pay restitution to all of the people they mutilated and for interfering with God’s Plan for these children. All I know is that Robert Kennedy Jr. and President Trump are stating “No More Medicaid Payments for these drugs or surgeries!!! I wonder what that means for VT-Medicaid?
Just like removing junk food from SNAP eligibility, taking junk medicine off the medicare/medicaid coverage means you can still buy it with YOUR OWN MONEY.
If you want to harm yourself with bad food and bad medical procedures, do it with your own funds.
