Two 18-year-olds died Wednesday evening as a result of a head-on crash in Charleston: Logan Cota, 18, of Charleston and Taylor Warren, 18, of Lunenburg,
8 pm Feb. 16, the Vermont State Police responded to VT RT 105 in the Northeast Kingdom town after a report of a two-vehicle head-on collision.
Troopers determined that Katelyn Deslandes, 23, of Island Pond was traveling west in a 2013 Chevrolet, while a Hyundai Sonata operated by Cota with passenger Warren was traveling east. Police say Deslandes drove left of center into the eastbound lane of travel and struck the Hyundai head on.
Deslandes sustained significant but non-life threatening injuries and was initially transported to North Country Hospital and was later flown via helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Cota was transported by ambulance to North Country Hospital where shortly after he succumbed to his injuries he sustained in the crash. Warren was pronounced deceased on scene. No-one was wearing seatbelts.

NEKnative, these two kids hadn’t even graduated high school, so yeah, juvenile. How else would you describe two kids who hadn’t even started real life yet?Such a tragedy.
