To the editor:
I was greeted this morning, once again, by recognizing that Vermonters are living in an authoritarian society for yet another day. My first encounter was a quote by Representative Butch Shaw from Pittsford, as stated in this morning’s Rutland Herald: “Let’s do the right thing… We can do it if we get vaccinated, get our boosters and wear a mask.”
Then, later at noon, Governor Scott, a man who cannot seem to hold the line on anything he says, suddenly wants to compromise. Thus, he relented to demands of a fearful legislature seeking emergency masking restrictions. He says it is in the name of compromise, but what and who is he compromising yet again?
These are just two examples of those who write the arbitrary definitions of pandemic, capturing the authority they define!
When fear of a pandemic is all it takes to hide a bio weapon, what could go wrong?
