The authoritarian state of Vermont

To the editor:

I was greeted this morning, once again, by recognizing that Vermonters are living in an authoritarian society for yet another day. My first encounter was a quote by Representative Butch Shaw from Pittsford, as stated in this morning’s Rutland Herald:  “Let’s do the right thing… We can do it if we get vaccinated, get our boosters and wear a mask.”

Then, later at noon, Governor Scott, a man who cannot seem to hold the line on anything he says, suddenly wants to compromise.  Thus, he relented to demands of a fearful legislature seeking emergency masking restrictions. He says it is in the name of compromise, but what and who is he compromising yet again?

These are just two examples of those who write the arbitrary definitions of pandemic, capturing the authority they define!

When fear of a pandemic is all it takes to hide a bio weapon, what could go wrong?

  1. We The People will Hold the Line and will Not Comply to Medical Tyranny! United We Stand! The Evil Marxist Regime will Not dictate to a Free People.

21 USC Section 360, The Nuremberg Code of 1947, U.S. Constitution!

    Peaceful Civil Disobedience Now.

Liberty is from God not man.

    • The Spanish Flu, 1918
It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.
God forbid anybody call Covid what it Really is and where it came from. That’s PC socialism/cancel culture at its best or worst.
Never heard my family complain about it being called The Spanish Flu.

  2. I’m not vaccinated, nor is my wife, nor will we be. We don’t wear masks and we’re not scared…Plain and simple. Now that may scare the organizers of this fraud, but that’s for them to deal with.

  3. Again, how apropos…

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive… those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.” C.S. Lewis

  4. I will not comply with your technocractic dictatorship ideologies. Live free or die A.holes! You will have to kill me first. The sooner you admit your lies, failures and faults, the sooner our country can reunite and prosper. Or you can just double down and keep poisoning people (EVEN KIDS!) and pretend the clot shots aren’t killing people. Not my government!

  5. RIGHT ON ! BROTHERS AND SISTERS, LET US DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS = VOTE PEOPLE IN WHO HAVE A PRACTICAL HEAD ON THEIR SHOULDERS AND WILL DO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE !
