Quechee, Vermont

The 2023 Quechee Scottish Games And Festival will be held on August 26 from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Quechee Polo Field, 45 Deweys Mill Road, Hartford, Vermont.

There will be a clan parade and opening ceremonies at noon. Over 35 Clan and Scottish societies will be represented.

Participating pipe bands will include The New Hampshire Pipes And Drums, St. Andrews Pipe Band of Vermont, Catamount Pipe Band, Solo Piping and Highland Dancing events will begin at 9 AM with Pipe Band Competitions at 1:30 PM.

Featured musical performers at the Quechee Scottish Games And Festival will be the Lissa Schneckenburger Trio and Celtic folk band:

Rebel Collective Fiddler Lissa Schneckenburger, who began playing at the age of six, is a leading musician and teacher from Brattleboro,Vermont.in traditional music. The Rebel Collective performs a wide variety of Scottish and Irish songs. Featured at this Quechee Scottish Games and Festival will be the traditional competitions in caber toss, stone put, hammer throw.

Once essential to the training of warriors this is now the hallmark of these games. There will be sheep herding demonstrations with Liz Shaw and her Scottish Border Collies Poe ad Cap of Morse Brook Farm of Westminster, Vermont. There will be vendors with a wide range of goods from Scotland and other Celtic nations.

Food and beer trucks will also be on hand throughout the day.

Bring your own chair to the Quechee Scottish Games And Festival. Handicapped parking and shuttle by golf cart to Quechee Polo Field also available.
