State GOP leaders shun Trump for Haley

GOP chair notes shortfalls of universal mail-in ballots

By Michael Bielawski

Nearly all national political pundits agree that former President Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential election. However, Vermont conservative leaders are choosing to support another candidate.

Also, Vermont GOP chair Paul Dame noted on the radio some key security shortfalls when it comes to doing universal mail-in ballots in the general election versus by-request mail-in ballots as is still used in the primaries.

Vermont GOP favoring Nikki Haley for GOP ticket

On the WVMT Morning Drive radio show on Tuesday Dame was a guest on the show, and the conversation first was about Trump’s last remaining rival for the GOP presidential ticket Nikki Haley will be coming to Vermont.

Dame noted that there is substantial support for Haley among Vermont’s leading Republican figures.

“I know there are a number of legislators who have endorsed Nikki Haley, I’m sure some of them will be there,” he said.

It was noted that she has the endorsement of both Republican Gov. Phil Scott and Rep. Pattie McCoy, R-Poultney, who is the House Minority leader.

Haley has failed to win a GOP primary so far. She will be at the Doubletree in South Burlington on Sunday, the event is free and starts at 1 p.m.

Caller defends Trump

A caller on the show disputed the notion that Trump doesn’t deserve the support of Vermont’s conservative leaders.

He said, “On the question about people don’t want to run or vote because of Donald Trump being on the top of the ticket, I’m just saying buying groceries and all that stuff, it’s very, very expensive right now… Donald Trump, we’ve seen what he did. We’ve seen how great everything is when he was at the White House.”

The caller blamed the current state of the economy on the current administration.

“This government, nothing. So we can’t blame Donald Trump for what’s going on right now. Everything is falling apart and we are still supporting [Trump],” he said.

Former state and city lawmaker Kurt Wright noted in Vermont Trump has had less support than he gets nationwide. They suggested the results of Vermont’s GOP primary –  which is on Tuesday (Super Tuesday) – will be telling as to where that support stands today.

Mail-in ballot controversies

The conversation later turned to mail-in ballots after a caller asked Dame if he shared concerns with Trump about the security of using them.

Dame didn’t say outright whether he’s for or against the policy but he did list some reasons why having a mail-in ballot-by-request system has key security advantages over sending them to all registered voters automatically which is Vermont’s current policy for the general election.

One advantage is when voters have to request the ballot that means ballots aren’t going automatically to people they are not intended for.

Dame explained, “The current program we have in the primary which is you mail everyone a request is a good idea because first of all then you are mailing it and if you get mail returned that’s non-deliverable, you know you need to take those people off the roles. That’s number one.”

Dame noted that he once got a ballot sent to his house for someone who hadn’t lived there for at least a decade.

His next point was to have people request a ballot means there will be a record that this person still lives at their address and wants a ballot. They also must sign the request.

“The second thing is when we send out ballots we are not sending ballots to people, we send ballots to addresses. If you send out a request and people get a request and people say oh I do want to vote early, they sign it and then they send it back, we’ve got a record that a person requested it,” he said.

He concluded, “So I think that would be to me an improvement we could make in the general election rather than mailing out ballots [to everyone].”

Last year Rasmussen released a poll revealing that “One-in-Five Mail-In Voters Admit They Cheated in 2020 Election.”

  1. vermont republican leaders back another looser/// vermont is far away from a normal thought process, but still a leader///

  2. Are establishment politics good for you? They’re certainly good for D.C. and Montpelier insideres. Haley thrives in the establishment and will work to preserve it. Trump loathes the establishment and will disband it. The swamp is real. I’ll glady take the the misinformation the media spits about Trump for 4 years over the perpetuated deep state and its infringement upon our rights that a Haley term would yield. Ofcourse people like Scott have endorsed her. That alone should be a red flag. The man endorsed biden not that long ago.

  3. So far Trump has won SC, NV, NH, IA MI and the Virgin Islands. On Super Tuesday 15 more states and American Samoa vote. That means when Nikki Haley wakes up on Wednesday, she will be 0 wins – 22 losses. Endorsed by the Vermont Republican Party Nikki is spewing the same talking points that we hear from the Commiecrats on where, CNN, MSNBC.

    https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2024/03/01/haley-on-trump-immunity-claims-no-president-should-ever-be-above-the-law/

    https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2024/03/01/nikki-haley-i-dont-know-if-trump-would-follow-the-constitution-in-a-second-term/

So, what does that make the Vermont Republican Party? Their logo should be changed to the Jellyfish,

  4. Not that it wasn’t clear before, the VTGOP would rather support a neo-con warhawk, groomed by the UN, and compensated for doing their dirty deeds. Too bad the RNC has fallen into the hands of the People. It appears the VTGOP is fine being total losers – the compensation package attached must be too good to pass up.

  5. Paul Dame represents all that is wrong with the VTGOP. He speaks glowingly of Gov Scott. Bragging that Scott is the most popular Governor in America.
What Dame never admits is that Scott received between 60 – 70% of the democrat vote in each of his Gubernatorial runs.
Why wouldn’t they vote for Scott ? I have written many times about how Scott has betrayed VT Republicans and Conservatives.
Stating that Scott supports Haley is more proof that Scott doesn’t care about VT or America. Haley is funded in part by major democrat donations.
Right up the anyone but Trump agenda, damn the Country full speed ahead.

Ask Dame to list the ” leading Republican figures ” that support Haley.
I’m sure you find they are the same figures that voted for H89.
McCoy is one of those who voted for H89, along with 23 others GOP State Reps.
Then she makes a stand against H72 which provides for the State to harm VT Children in exactly the same way.
The VTGOP stands for nothing, the Platform stands for nothing.

Dame and Tom Koch wanted their ” Big Tent. ”
It gave them more losses while preventing real VT Conservatives from having a chance.

Phil Scott should pull a Jeffords and make it official. Until someone from the VTGOP steps up to fight for Conservative Vermonters the marxists will continue to make gains.

    • How does using highly partisan language like “marxists” resonate with moderate and independent voters needed to win statewide races? Does it motivate the base at the expense of alienating others?

Do calls to only support “true conservative” candidates take into account the pragmatism and moderation needed to be competitive in Vermont? What kind of candidates can build a broad coalition?

Does criticism of Phil Scott’s bipartisan governing style undermine one of the few successful Republican models in the state? How should Republicans embrace or distance themselves from him strategically?

Does the assertion that Democratic candidates are too far left reflect the mainstream Vermont voter’s view? Or does it reveal an ideological disconnect? What specific policies are out of step?

How will demands for ideological purity on things like H.89 shape the ability to recruit credible Republican candidates to run here? Does flexibility help get electable candidates?

If the VTGOP platform does not resonate locally, how could it be adapted to better fit Vermont’s unique landscape while maintaining core principles?
Is the notion of a “Big Tent” approach inconsistent with increasing Republican representation in a progressive state? Or is ideological flexibility key to being competitive?

Beyond criticizing the opposing side, how are forward-looking policy ideas and visions for the future being put forward? What will voters be inspired by?

Do assertions about the VTGOP’s motivations and principles undermine outreach efforts with new voter groups? How can perceptions be changed?

How did you strategy workout for Malloy? What percentage of votes did Madden get compared to Malloy?

Is the TWATS strategy viable in Vermont or is it a Revenge strategy?

  6. Once again Mr. Arnold rushes into the fray to defend the indefensible.

Thank you Tom, I am grateful for the 1000th time to point out that while you are quick to blame me for the failings of Scott, Dame, Koch et all, you never defend what they have done.
Marxism describes perfectly what the supermajority in the legislature has done.
Murder babies in the womb, sexually molest and destroy children, destroy Femininity and Masculinity, destroy the family unit, remove God from everything, make slaves totally dependent on the Government.
Look it up in the Dictionary and there is an image of Phil Scott.
( I won’t mention that he has written and pushed for illegal unconstitutional Gun Laws ) ( Oops, I guess I did )
He can’t define the word Woman, which puts every female in VT Schools and workplace at risk. He obviously has no idea of what a Man is either.
But he is quick to support domestic terrorists, the mentally incompetent grapefruit in the White House, and given millions of Vermonter’s tax dollars to illegal aliens and planned parenthood. ( All while never having given One Cent to the Pro Life Organizations in VT which actually do provide Women’s Health Care. )

You prove who you are by defending H89, one of the most horrific laws in America.
( Don’t let it concern you that transgenders have a suicide rate up to 86% higher than the general population )
Ideological Purity is a great descriptor of someone who will never support the mutilation of children.

I helped write the current VTGOP Platform. The language is clear, Dame, Koch and most every voting member approved it.
Then they ignore it. It means nothing to them.

Dame and Koch’s ” Big Tent ” got them Liam Madden, who bragged about not being a Republican and aren’t you glad one would not be running for Congress ?
It also cost them seats in the legislature.

Your attempt to make me and other real Conservative Vermonters the opposing side is right out of the leftist handbook. You don’t want Vermonters to have their voice, you want to hear your voice coming out of their mouths.
Ideological flexible doesn’t include abandoning everything you are supposed to fight for.
Every time the VTGOP and its members give a little more, it is gone until someone steps up to fight to get it back.

Thank you for bringing Mr. Malloy into the discussion.
The VTGOP candidate was Christian Nolan. She supports abortion thru the 2nd Trimester, over 99% of all abortions in VT. If you want numbers, an average of 1200 babies are aborted in VT annually. That means Ms. Nolan and everyone that supported her thinks fighting to save 12 lives a year is worth it. ( don’t mention the other 1188 )
She vowed to fight to codify Roe V Wade if elected. The VTGOP supported her financially and thru endorsements. Traveling all over VT campaigning for her.
They told Mr. Malloy they would not support or endorse him.

Mr. Malloy defeated Ms. Nolan because Conservative Vermonters would not vote for another transrepublican who pretended to represent them. ( sometimes )

After Mr. Malloy defeated Ms. Nolan, Dame sent an email to all the VTGOP members asking for donations to support Mr. Malloy.
I confronted Dame immediately about his hypocrisy and trying to cash in. He asked me to work with him, I told him I would never support what he has done.
Mr. Malloy never received One Cent from Dame or the VTGOP. ( in case you missed that, NEVER )

Mr. Malloy was declared to have lost to Welch with less than a thousand votes counted. ( WCAX )
Mr. Malloy received over 80,000 votes in the General Election. 20,000 voters registered as Republican voted for Welch.
Maybe you were one of them.

VT. had a Pro Life Constitutional candidate and 20% of Republicans voted for Welch. A marxists bent on the destruction of the Constitution, babies in the womb, children and families.
A few years ago on Memorial Day, Welch wrote a letter to the Veterans of VT apologizing that he would not be able to attend the Ceremony Honoring our Veterans at the State Cemetery in Randolph, VT.
However, he was able to attend a planned parenthood rally in Burlington that same day.

Finally Mr. Arnold, if the VTGOP continues to side with those who vote with the marxists bent on complicity with the people trying to destroy Babies, Children, Families and remove God from everything, feel free to call me opposing them out every time.

    • While I respect the passion behind these beliefs, I disagree that highly partisan rhetoric and ideological purity tests are the path to Republican success in Vermont. Here are some key points I would make in response:

Labeling those you disagree with as “marxists” is counterproductive. We need to understand differing perspectives, not just condemn them. Engage on the actual substance of policies.

Requirements to be a “true conservative” have resulted in divisions that hurt the party. A diversity of views within the GOP tent is healthy. Pragmatism on some issues can help win elections.

Criticizing Gov. Scott’s moderate approach overlooks that he is one of the few successful Republican models in Vermont. We should learn from what works here, not just what aligns with national platforms.

The assertion that Democrats are too far left does not resonate with many mainstream Vermont voters based on recent electoral wins. We need to understand voter priorities rather than make ideological claims.

Rigid stances on complex issues like abortion have undermined our ability to recruit good candidates. Allow for diversity of thought to appeal to more voters.

Personal attacks on GOP leaders distract from developing a forward-looking vision that everyday Vermonters can rally behind. Infighting only hurts our progress.

There are voters looking for reasonable Republican alternatives. But constant hostility towards those deemed ideologically impure only feeds perceptions that the VT GOP is extreme.

Instead of relitigating past elections, we should focus energy on voter outreach and cultivating the next generation of candidates true to Vermont values.

In a progressive state like Vermont, we can disagree without demonizing each other.

By finding common ground on kitchen table issues and presenting pragmatic solutions, we can work to expand the GOP tent and elect more Republicans long-term.

There are no quick fixes, but with openness and hard work, progress is possible.

    • You criticize Gov. Scott for being too moderate and betraying conservatives, yet he is one of the only successful Republican elected officials in Vermont. So should the GOP run more moderate candidates like him or only ideologically pure conservatives?

You say Democrats are too far left and marxist for Vermont voters, but Democrats keep decisively winning elections. So are Vermont voters actually more progressive than you claim?

You want Republican candidates aligned with the VTGOP platform, but also lament that the platform is ignored. So should the platform be changed to fit the Vermont electorate or should candidates adhere to a platform voters reject?

You say the tent should only include “true conservatives” but also that it needs to be bigger to win elections. How can both be accomplished at the same time in a progressive state?

You claim conservative principles are under attack, but voters do not elect the far-right candidates you promote. So do Vermont voters just not understand conservatism or could there be room for moderation?

You blame GOP leaders for being complicit with Democrats, but also criticize infighting within the party. How can true conservatives take over the VT GOP if they don’t work within the existing system?

You oppose abortion rights and LGBTQ rights as too extreme but don’t propose policy alternatives. What pragmatic policies would address those concerns while preserving rights?

You lament GOP support for Phil Scott then criticize Liam Madden for not being a real Republican. So should the party support moderates or outsiders that align with its platform?

  7. Madden should never have been on the Republican primary ballot. That was the first time I realized Dame was not leading the party in the right direction. This support on Haley over Trump shows he is out of step with the America first people and I was right in choosing to not contribute any more money to his RINO leadership.

    • – The Vermont GOP’s influence on national presidential elections is negligible, rendering its support for controversial figures like Trump counterproductive for Vermont Candidates

      – Candidates aligning with Trump’s ideology, such as Malloy, have experienced resounding defeats, mirroring the performance of other like-minded candidates. Overwhelmingly, Vermont voters reject Trump.

      – In the event of a Trump presidency, the Vermont Democrat supermajority, bolstered by the electorate’s liberal stance, is poised to counteract any policy Trump implements. Electing President will have no effect on Vermont.

The goal should be to focus and win local elections. This is all we can influence.

The revenge TWATS strategy won’t get Vermont Republicans elected.

      Vermont Republican Losing TWATS Strategy
Trump – running on Trumps shrinking coattails is detrimental to a Vermont General Election candidate.

Wall – running migration and building a wall is detrimental to a Vermont General Election candidate.

Abortion – abortion is a settled issue in running on removing it more the State’s constitution is detrimental to a Vermont General Election candidate.

Transgender & BLM – are not key issues for most Vermont voters, move on

Stolen Election and Anti Gov Scott- Majority of Vermonters believe the stolen election narrative is false.

    • Madden was planted to throw away our one Congressional seat – all by design and backroom dealing. I feel sorry for Mr. Arnold and others who can’t see the forest through the trees. They focus on Trump like he’s some sort of Pinball Wizard. They don’t see the heavy protection surrounding him wherever he goes. The court cases against him are complete garbage and legal scholars know it. They don’t see the fact The Biden has continued executive orders initiated by Trump. They seriously think he’s capable of doing everything so far by himself? Perhaps they should rewind to his inaugural address with the military standing behind him. Perhaps they should review his 2017 trip around the globe, the sword dance in Saudi Arabia or Pope Francis’ facial expression looking like a captured prisoner of war. The traps were set a long time ago and the fools are walking straight into them. The mop up mission
is to capature the rest of the useful idiots – several thousand of them right here in Pervmont [sic]. Many sealed indictments have yet to be unleashed on the wicked ones. The day of retribution is very close and closing in. The problem is many can’t fathom what is going on behind the scenes – it’s much bigger and more dangerous than what we’ve seen thus far. Unfortunately in Pervmont[sic], the malignant ignorance is indeed blissful and terminal.

    • State Law allows ANYONE to get on the Republican ballot. There was no legal mechanism I have to pull Madden off the ballot any more than for the SOS to pull Trump off the ballot. If you get the signatures, you can stay on – period. During our August primary debate I did make a point to not invite him and explained to viewers why he was not invited:

    • Nice of Mr. Dame to deny any responsibility for Madden being on the Ballot as a Republican.
When I was the Platform Delegate for Chittenden County I introduced an Amendment which would have provided the method to deny Financial support or Endorsement to any Candidate who did not adhere to the VTGOP Platform.
It was defeated by a two to one margin at the VTGOP State meeting.
Dame and Rules Committee Chair Tom Koch spoke of how my Amendment would hurt the Party and deny Candidates the opportunity to run as Republicans.
They both cheered when my Amendment was defeated. Dame and Koch wanted the Party open to what they refer to as ” The Big Tent. ”

My Amendment would not have prevented Madden or anyone else from claiming to be a Republican, but it would have enabled the VTGOP to make it clear he would not receive any support or endorsement.

That Big Tent is what made it possible for Madden to run as a Republican.
It also made it possible for Jarrod Sammis to run as a Republican. Despite Mr. Sammis’ statement at the State meeting that, His constituents would never support the Platform with my Amendment in it.
Sammis left the Republican Party to become a Libertarian after winning his election.
Ask Mr. Dame how his Big Tent worked out for Conservative Vermonters.

So yes, Dame is correct that anyone can claim to be a Republican and get on the ballot. Just like Dame, Koch, Scott and the 24 State GOP reps that voted for H89 all claim to be Republican while betraying Conservative Vermonters and ignoring the Platform they voted for.
Scott’s endorsement of Haley will only last a few more days, then he will go back to supporting Biden and the destruction of our Country.
      Bank on it.

I resigned from the VTGOP because two thirds of the membership ignore the Platform. If you don’t stand for something you fall for everything.

  8. Mr. Arnold takes the time to write two more lengthy comments, not one word addresses all I have pointed out.
Curiously though, he somehow convolutes what I wrote about Madden.

  9. Mr. Malloy follows and respects the Constitution. That to me is the most important thing for a Politician to do. Malloy works his own campaign, not answering to anyone and is just running on his own merits. Furthermore, he does not expect anything from anyone, but is very gracious and humble when he receives support. I hope he gets in. He sure does work hard to spread his conservative- common sense messages.

  10. #NeverNikki
She literally makes my skin crawl. Something about her and her campaign just feels wrong. I trust my gut. She is bad news and I will say the GOP ‘leaders’ are out of touch. If she wins we all lose

  11. In reply to MR. TWATS…..

How long have Mr. Dame and Gov Scott been in charge? How long Scott?
They are completely free to make the party after their own desires and ideology, to which they have. That and doing nothing to build the party, they are in charge. A few key board thumpers aren’t going to make or break their plan.

    What is their fruit?

How many candidates? How much money other than Scott account? How many want to play with them? Campaign with them?

They are doing your plan exactly and what do we have to show for it? Please, we are all waiting with bated breath. We have complete Marxist takeover of our state. You are framing the conversation just like the VTDEMS…….to divide and destroy the VTGOP.

We need to frame the conversation, not them.

The VTGOP couldn’t possibly be more of a loser group than with this announcement. But then again, we always seem to be surprised with how low and stupid they can truly be.

    No Money
    No Votes
    No Help
    No People………….

And you tell us they are doing a great job. Huh….

It’s the people who care, when they say “hey, you’ve got poppy seeds in your teeth”, that care. Criticisms from friend’s of the GOP are because they care enough to say something. But you of course are correct, couldn’t possibly be wrong, just like everybody else in the party.

  12. Good to hear so many understand that a deranged autocrat willing to tear down his own country isn’t a good choice to be the leader of the free world.

    • Thanks for chiming in Mr. Beck, care to explain why you voted for H89 ?

    • Republicans supported H.89 by knowingly running unelectable revenge candidates or they don’t understand strategy.

    • There you go. Mr. Beck voted for one of the most horrific Bills that enables the State to remove children of any age from their Parents to sexually, chemically, physically and psychologically destroy their bodies, but refuses to answer why he did. His vote also made it possible for criminal charges to be brought against any Parent that would fight to protect their Child. It also makes it possible for the State to take any Health Care Providers license if they refuse to harm the Child.

One of 24 VT State GOP Reps that voted for this horror. And Mr. Beck would rather throw a derogatory shot at me than answer why he voted for it.
Mr. Beck along with the other 23 also ignore the VTGOP Platform which requires them to adhere to the VTGOP Platform to protect life from conception.
But Hey, who cares about protecting lives when you can pretend you’re Rodney Dangerfield ?

    • Thank you, Scott and Jim, for perfectly articulating the dynamic at play. Jim asks about the vote on H89, and Scott desultorily replies with an ad hominem attack. At least Rodney Dangerfield was funny. Mr. Scott’s response is more redolent of Marie Antoinette.

For Tom, who airily states that the transgender agenda is “not a key issue to most Vermonters – move on”; I have moved on. Right out of the state. And H89 was the straw that broke the camel’s back; because I can’t countenance paying taxes to a state that has become, with republican abetment, a Maoist chop shop for humans.

      Way to go, VTGOP.

  13. Trump wins three more caucuses in Missouri, Michigan and Idaho all while giving a rally in Virginia at 5:30 Sat. 3/2/24. Super Tuesday is not even here yet and Haley has not won a state, yet the Vermont Republican Party endorses Nikki Haley like they endorse Nikki Scott. The Vermont Republican Party should change their logo to the Jellyfish. It fits perfectly, spineless, brainless, heartless, eats its own, craps thru its mouth and is full of poison.

  14. RE: “Vermont conservative leaders are choosing to support another candidate.” Paul Dame

What are we talking, 2 or 4 unnamed people? I could run a better committee than Dame. Heck, most successful professionals could.

  15. Nothing new here from Mr. Dame, or Governor Scott, or any of the VT GOP establishment. They will shun or choose whomever they’re told to shun and choose. And they will continue to lose elections or be supported by progressives and democrats who continue to struggle to think well of themselves at taxpayer expense. Suffice it to say, they are bankrupting Vermont in the process because they don’t know any better. I don’t think they’re evil. But they surely are ignorant and incompetent in the disciplines of managing the tasks at hand. And like Bernie Madoff, Sam Bankman-Fried, Rite Aid, Neiman Marcus, Sears, Toys R Us, J.C. Penny and many others, they and their supporters will, in the final analysis, be relegated to the dustbin of history.

Let them rant. What the rest of us have to do is be smarter than they are, not get sucked in with them, and do what we can to elect the one man who has the demonstrated capacity to successfully manage our ship of state.

    • Mr. Eshelman has some valid examples also consider these.
Donald Trump’s businesses have filed for bankruptcy six times:

      1. Trump Taj Mahal (1991): The casino was $3 billion in debt when it declared bankruptcy.
      2. Trump Castle (1992): This hotel and casino were restructured under prepackaged bankruptcy.
      3. Trump Plaza and Casino (1992): Another Atlantic City casino that declared bankruptcy due to overwhelming debt.
      4. Plaza Hotel (1992): The iconic New York hotel filed for bankruptcy after Trump was unable to make the loan payments.
      5. Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts (2004): The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to restructure $1.8 billion in debt.
      6. Trump Entertainment Resorts (2009): This was a reorganization of Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts.

      These businesses failed;

Aside from the bankruptcies, Donald Trump has been involved in several business ventures that have failed over the years. Here are some of the notable ones:

      1. Trump Airlines: In 1989, Trump bought the Eastern Air Shuttle, rebranding it as Trump Shuttle. The airline failed to turn a profit and defaulted on its loans, leading to its sale in 1992.

      2. Trump Vodka: Launched in 2006, Trump Vodka was discontinued by 2011 due to poor sales, failing to meet the necessary thresholds to continue production.

      3. Trump Steaks: Introduced in 2007 through a partnership with The Sharper Image, Trump Steaks were discontinued after poor sales. They were available only for a short period.

      4. Trump University: Established in 2005, Trump University offered real estate training courses but was hit with multiple lawsuits claiming fraud. The company ceased operations in 2010, and Trump settled the lawsuits in 2016 for $25 million.

      5. Trump Magazine: Launched in 2007, the luxury magazine aimed at affluent readers was discontinued after several years due to poor advertising sales.

      6. Trump: The Game: Released in 1989, this board game was discontinued after poor sales, though it saw a brief revival in 2004.

      7. Trump Mortgage: Launched in 2006, the mortgage company was closed in 2007 due to the subprime mortgage crisis and poor performance.

      8. GoTrump.com: A travel website launched in 2006, it was discontinued a year later due to lack of interest and traffic.

      9. Trump Entertainment Resorts

  16. Hope springs eternal as Nikki Haley wins her first primary in the swamp.

“The people that voted for Trump are never going to abandon him. I don’t care what Mueller does. I don’t care what the media does. They’re never going to abandon him. Know why? They elected him knowing who he is. And in many cases, they admire who he is. He is the one person standing in the way of them losing their country. In their minds, that’s what’s at stake”. – RUSH LIMBAUGH

  17. Tom, you forgot a couple…. that were successful. Time Magazine: Donald Trump’s 16 Biggest Business Failures and Successes July 2015 1: Grand Hyatt Hotel. Trump bought the property in 1974. The 34-story hotel is still a booming business today. 2: Trump Tower. Completed in 1983. It’s still highly sought after real estate today. 3: Wollman Rink. Trump approached Mayor Koch in 1986 offering to finish the rink for $3,000,000. He finished the rink $750,000 under budget. 4: 40 Wall Street. Trump bought for $1,000,000 in 1995. Renovated at a cost of $35,000,000. Now worth $500,000,000. 5: Trump Place. Constructed on 18 acres along the Hudson River. 25 acres of open space, 5,700 apartments/18 buildings. 6: The Apprentice NBC. Trump was host and exec. producer earning $1,000,000 per episode.
