July 9 at 6:44 pm, State Police stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation on VT RT 62, near the Berlin Town line in Barre City. The vehicle driven by Caleb Deneef, 28, of Barre was traveling 94 mph in a posted 50 mph zone.
The operator was issued a citation for excessive speed and is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court.

Shouldn’t those who do this be issued a reckless operation of a motor vehicle citation, have their vehicle towed from the scene, etc? as to just be issued a speeding violation as if they’re traveling at 70 mph in a 65mph zone?
