VTGOP Chair Paul Dame announced today the appointment of Representative Zachary Harvey, of Castleton, as Finance Chair of Vermont’s Republican Party. In this role, Harvey will help lead the Party’s fundraising strategy and donor engagement efforts. In addition to his responsibilities as Finance Chair, Harvey will serve as a member of the Vermont GOP’s Executive Committee.
Representative Harvey represents Rutland’s 3rd District in the Vermont House of Representatives, where he serves on the House Judiciary Committee. A fifth generation Vermonter, Harvey was born and raised in the Green Mountain State. During his decade-long career in financial services, he held various roles at the New York Stock Exchange and its parent, Intercontinental Exchange, a Fortune 500 technology and data services company. He began his career at Nasdaq, a global technology and exchange operator.
Harvey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Providence College. He has served on several advisory boards supporting his alma mater and various non-profit organizations.
“I am honored by Chair Dame’s trust and am excited to build on the historic electoral gains Vermont Republicans achieved this past November,” said Harvey. “As Finance Chair, I am committed to raising the resources necessary to secure Republican majorities in both the House and the Senate in 2026. By delivering historic levels of funding, we will ensure Vermont Republicans will be able to compete – and win – at every level.”
Harvey’s appointment is effective immediately.
