Rallyers seek change in VT education, government

Vermonters came to wave Blue-Line, American and Don’t Thread On Me Flags and signs at Rutland’s Main Street Park Saturday morning, May 1 at an event sponsored by the Vermonters for Vermont Initiative. A VT Liberty Network rally on CoVid19 & our Constitution followed.

“We had Vermont Patriots from Essex Town to Halifax, VT and all places in between, and from all around Rutland County,” Vermonters for Vermont organizer Greg Thayer said. “Loud and positive responses were heard from the passer-bys beeping and honking horns, thumbs-up with happy smiles.

At the Vermont Liberty Network rally, speeches on Liberty were given by:

Michael J. Lannon; Chair of the Rutland City GOP. He spoke on CoVid19 and the negative affects in our school-age children, and how parents must pay attention and get involved in what is going on with their children’s education.

Thayer spoke on how America is a “Constitutional Republic, not a democracy.” Thayer equated his premises to the principle of equality and that our Constitution is a representative form of government and not by a king or mob rule. Thayer continued “that the government gets its authority from the People, who can take it away too.”

Lynne Roberts spoke about Frederick Douglass and his love and respect for America, and our Constitution in his writings.

Featured speaker John Klar spoke throughout the rally about liberty, freedom and the importance of our Constitution. Klar said of former New York City resident Xusana Davis, Director of Vermont’s newly established office on Racial Equity: “she is being paid $125,000 annually and she is telling all of us Vermonters that we are racist.”

The take away premise from Saturday’s events is that people need to stand-up to the mob rulers, and parents must take control of their children’s public school education.
