Rallyers seek change in VT education, government

Vermonters for Vermont organizer Greg Thayer speaks in Main Street Park in Rutland Saturday

Vermonters came to wave Blue-Line, American and Don’t Thread On Me Flags and signs at Rutland’s Main Street Park Saturday morning, May 1 at an event sponsored by the Vermonters for Vermont Initiative. A VT Liberty Network rally on CoVid19 & our Constitution followed.

“We had Vermont Patriots from Essex Town to Halifax, VT and all places in between, and from all around Rutland County,” Vermonters for Vermont organizer Greg Thayer said. “Loud and positive responses were heard from the passer-bys beeping and honking horns, thumbs-up with happy smiles.

At the Vermont Liberty Network rally, speeches on Liberty were given by:

Michael J. Lannon; Chair of the Rutland City GOP. He spoke on CoVid19 and the negative affects in our school-age children, and how parents must pay attention and get involved in what is going on with their children’s education.

Thayer spoke on how America is a “Constitutional Republic, not a democracy.” Thayer equated his premises to the principle of equality and that our Constitution is a representative form of government and not by a king or mob rule. Thayer continued “that the government gets its authority from the People, who can take it away too.”

Lynne Roberts spoke about Frederick Douglass and his love and respect for America, and our Constitution in his writings.

Featured speaker John Klar spoke throughout the rally about liberty, freedom and the importance of our Constitution. Klar said of former New York City resident Xusana Davis, Director of Vermont’s newly established office on Racial Equity: “she is being paid $125,000 annually and she is telling all of us Vermonters that we are racist.”

The take away premise from Saturday’s events is that people need to stand-up to the mob rulers, and parents must take control of their children’s public school education.

So easily said. So difficult to implement.

Don’t get lost in the weeds of micromanaging everyone’s affairs. It’s time to articulate precisely how “…parents must take control of their children’s public school education.”

School Choice Tuition Vouchers. Say no more. Allow the education free market to incentivize the positive outcomes inherent with the Intrinsic Motivation and Self-Determination being thwarted in Vermont’s corrupt public-school monopoly.

”Perhaps no single phenomenon reflects the positive potential of human nature as much as intrinsic motivation, the inherent tendency to seek out novelty and challenges, to extend and exercise one’s capacities, to explore, and to learn….. the more students were externally regulated the less they showed interest, value, and effort toward achievement and the more they tended to disown responsibility for negative outcomes, blaming others such as the teacher.”

Increasing Student Success Through Instruction in Self-Determination
“An enormous amount of research shows the importance of self-determination (i.e., autonomy) for students in elementary school through college for enhancing learning and improving important post-school outcomes.”

    School Choice. Just do it.

  2. A lot of people agree but because two-thirds of our legislators are from out of state, and we have George Soros’ funded state’s attorneys now in place, coupled with a “news” media that LIES through omission & exudes fake news to a largely complacent or naive electorate – this is going to be VERY difficult to achieve. Nonetheless, we MUST try or this nation is lost forever.

  3. “Every nobleman who had the will to fight was at that meeting. We can not beat an army. We do not have to defeat them. Just fight them. Now who’s with me?”

  4. Why is it all these school budgets keep passing? Is this in any way a bit similar to how all these elected officials might keep being reelected? People are rallying – power in numbers.

Must make time for this interesting short eye-opener to our Constitution and how some people are making use of it because that is what it is there for!! One man who made positive use of his time after coming close to loosing his business due to a plandemic.
