In the first half of the Thursday, August 26 episode of Chronicle Conversations on WVMT, host Guy Page compares and contrasts Burlington Emma Mulvaney’s call for more state money for homeless services with an op-ed by former Agency of Services Secretary Charlie Smith requiring more accountability for both law-breaking vagrants and the municipalities and non-profits paid to assist them. Smith is scheduled to be a guest on Chronicle Conversations next Wednesday.

In the second half of the show, Rep. Rob North describes how the GOP Senate ‘Vermont Promise’ affordability plan would expand tax breaks for senior citizens, lower health care insurance premiums for non-smokers, and streamline permitting for new housing.
