Police make arrests in crimes against children

Vermont police this week announced arrests of two Vermonters for child sex abuse crimes.

Vermont State Police have arrested Jeremy Bogie of Ryegate on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The charge stems from an investigation into allegations that Bogie assaulted a girl multiple times between 2004 and 2007, beginning when she was 10 years old.

Bogie was taken into custody on August 6 and lodged without bail at Northeast Correctional Facility. Bogie is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court in St. Johnsbury at 1 PM on Thursday, August 7.

L&L in Randolph – On June 16 state police began an investigation into reports of Lewd and Lascivious behavior involving two children, in Randolph. The investigation revealed that Gerald Hendrickson, age 76, of Randolph, engaged in Lewd and Lascivious Conduct with two victims under the age of 16.

On August 6, Hendrickson voluntarily came to the Royalton Barracks, where he was fingerprinted, photographed, and issued a citation to appear at the Orange Superior Court, Criminal Division, on August 27.

L&L in Cambridge – In an incident in which the age(s) of the victim(s) were not disclosed by police, a Milton man was arrested for lewd and lascivious conduct at a Cambridge restaurant. Following a month-long investigation, Vermont State Police arrested Raj Patel, 22, of Milton for lewd and lascivious conduct in connection with an incident reported at the Cupboard Deli in Cambridge on July 3. Patel was issued a flash citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court Criminal Division on August 13 at 12:30 PM.
