A 73-year-old man from Cavendish is facing a charge of animal cruelty following an incident last week, state police say.
Authorities say they were alerted that a pet piglet was shot and killed by a neighbor on Main Street. Following an investigation, with the assistance of the Vermont Game Wardens, it was found that the piglet was shot and killed with a pellet gun.
Today, police identified the neighbor as Bruce Borders, of Cavendish. He was issued a criminal citation to appear in court on February 22.

What is WRONG with these supposed human beings?? They target the most innocent amongst us – children and animals, in the most cruel & heartless ways. This is disgusting and deranged and no doubt, the State will give this sub-human a proverbial slap on the wrist, as they typically do. Lesson NOT learned.
