Relatives, friends and neighbors of a Danville family that lost two young children in a car accident Saturday morning have pledged almost $37,000 in support.

A page on the Support Now platform shows $36,247 had been pledged as of 9:40 AM Wednesday morning towards a $45,000 goal.
As reported by VDC Sunday, June 14, State Police say a Toyota Corolla, operated by Jonathan Ross, 38, of Danville, was traveling south on Vermont Route 14 when it failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line, and entered the northbound lane of travel. At the same time, a pickup truck operated by Harry Dailey, 60, of Woodbury, was traveling north on Route 14. The two vehicles collided head-on in the northbound lane.
Oliviah (age 8) and Rylin (age 2), daughters of Jon and Chelsea Ross, were both secured in the back seat of the car. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The page reads:
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your prayers and support for the Ross family.
Jon and Chelsea recently experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Following a devastating car accident, they lost their two precious daughters, Oliviah (8) and Rylin (2). Jon remains hospitalized and is receiving ongoing medical care.
No words can adequately express the heartbreak and grief they are facing. As they begin to navigate the difficult days ahead, they will need the love, prayers, and support of their family, friends, and community.
Any support you are able to provide—whether through prayers, meals, financial assistance, or simply sharing this message—is deeply appreciated. Your kindness can help bring comfort, strength, and hope to Jon and Chelsea during this incredibly painful time.
Please keep Jon, Chelsea, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
With gratitude,
The Ross Family
“Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”
Ross remains hospitalized at Dartmouth-Hitchcock hospital in New Hampshire. Both Dailey and a passenger in his truck also were hospitalized.

This is so sad. I always wonder how safe our cars are and how safe car seats are. Some trucks and giant suv’s weigh so much more than a sedan even a low speed accident does a lot of damage to a sedan. It’s tragic. . The child car seats sit pretty high up. I know some vehicles have multiple air bags in front seats. You have the front airbags in the steering wheel and above glove box, also side curtain airbags. What about the back seats? Do they have airbags on side and front of back seat passengers? With all our technology, I hope one day cars can be safer.
