Motorcylist fined $817 for ‘egregious’ speeding

On July 13, at 1 am, a Vermont State Police trooper observed a motorcycle traveling north on Rte. 7 in Salisbury at an egregious high rate of speed. The target vehicle was captured on radar at a speed of 94 MPH in a posted 50 MPH zone, police say.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the operator was identified as Christopher Hart (32) of Fair Haven. Hart was taken into custody and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing. Hart was later issued a criminal citation to appear before the Addison Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date to answer the aforementioned charges. Hart was also issued $817.00 worth of VCVCs.

  1. Waiting for him to get the bike out of 3rd gear might have been more profitable.
If the state wanted to make some real jing they could set up on the Rt.4A approach from the west toward West Rutland in the 40 MPH zone.
