Legendary folk singer Judy Collins will make her final Vermont concert appearance Saturday, Nov. 14, performing with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra as part of her farewell tour after nearly seven decades on the road.

The 87-year-old singer-songwriter is retiring from touring with her “Sweet Judy Blue Eyes” Farewell Tour, which began July 4, 2026, and is scheduled to continue through 2027.

Collins, whose career began during the folk music revival of the 1960s, is best known for her recordings of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” and Stephen Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns.”

Her 1967 recording of “Both Sides Now,” from the album Wildflowers, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Her recording of “Send in the Clowns” became another signature hit and won a Grammy for Song of the Year in 1975.

Over her career, Collins has released 55 albums, combining interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk music with her own songwriting. She has also been active in social and environmental causes since the 1960s.

Collins has continued recording and writing in recent years. Her 2022 album Spellbound, her first consisting entirely of original songs, received a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album in 2023. In 2025, she published a poetry collection, Sometimes It’s Heaven: Poems of Love, Loss and Redemption.

Her farewell tour follows six new albums released since 2015.

The Nov. 14 concert will feature Collins accompanied by the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. The performance begins at 7 p.m., with lobby doors opening at 6 p.m. and seating at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets range from $70 to $175, plus taxes and fees. Complimentary vouchers will not be accepted.

The performance is supported by Jennifer and Fred Bagley and anonymous donors.

Organizers are billing the concert as Collins’ final Vermont appearance, offering audiences one last opportunity to hear the singer perform live in the state.
