Here’s what he’s likely to do.
Scott: “I don’t know what President Trump will do”?
He won’t stab us in the back like you did and he will Make America Great Again, however Vermont won’t be part of that. The people of Vermont are too stoopid to know they are being run and ruined by COMMUNISTS.
Gee Scott, what do you think would happen if you called Trump and asked him??????
People aren’t “afraid” of Trump because he won’t do anything, they are terrified because he’s the only person who WILL do what he says. He will dismantle the administrative state of Washington D.C. and that is why our administrative state of Vermont is so abject against the president elect.
Lord willing the gravy train is over,
Vermont is going to face epic financial issues of catastrophic significance because our “mishandling” of money, you see in Marxism, Progressive, Good ole boy government, which are all shades of the same tree, everybody involved with the game makes bank, for not doing good work, but holding the “system” in place.
Problem is there is too much overhead. Here’s a classic example unfolding in our town this week.
We had a medical center here all my life. Worked well. It was in a small ranch house, nothing too fancy.
1) Then we build a medical center and
2)UVM took it over.
3) The operating costs were extreme, just the property management contract was a very lucrative job. They spent more than we do to manage much larger condominium projects.
4) The property was overbuilt, and they paid too much….on our dime.
5) The rents charged were too high and unsustainable.
6) Accounting done to cover up fiscal malpractice
When citizens questioned what the hell was going on, they were told, we hear your concerns, and they did whatever the hell they wanted. This is the problem with good ole boy networks, socialism, Marxism. See everybody made bank, until the charade could no longer be done. At some point you can no longer fudge the numbers, things start to collapse.
This is the canary in the Vermont taxpayer mine. Things are about to collapse, just like our local medical center. People are all asking why now, calling for answers.
Well, it’s mismanagement. If we had a medical system that worked on merit, rather than connections, we’d still have our little medical center, our doctor would have more freedom and pay and everyone would be happy. Except for the grifters…..grifters lose in free market. Alot of grifting going in Vermont…..way too much.
We could easily drop our taxes by 50% and get better roads, better run government and a better medical system with higher health results. But the grifters in Montpelier can’t have that, their job depends upon it.
We need to stop the grift.
We need Sheriff Doge to come to Montpelier.
This medical grift that I’ve out lined is standard operating procedure for Montpelier, there are very few if any other areas of Vermont that do not follow the same outline.
Our medical system follows this grift outline.
Our planning associations follow this grift outline.
Our clean heat and energy efficiency follow this outline.
Our solar debacle followed this outline.
Our windmill debacle follows this outline.
Our EB-5 Grift followed this outline
Our crime and drug problem follows this outline.
Our budding sex traffic/pornography and sex change grift will be following this surely.
and some really big grifting happens
Our EDUCATION GRIFT is exactly this outline with more to come! Suddenly all the schools need to be rebuilt across our state!!!! Huh??? Every other building in our state seems to last 150-200 years without much trouble, but schools need replacement!
Our AFFORDABLE HOUSING GRIFT is exactly this mold, with insider deals, zero interest loans, loans being forgiven, only rental projects seem to get built…..making us look like New Jersey and New York.
We need to stop the grift.
We need to take Vermont back, from the grifters.
Waiting for the bond default. You will know by June 2025 how this will play out. Stop bonding more debt in Vermont. The central bankers are running this dog and pony show.
so ran across this on Whatfinger News…….this outline is what is being used against the Republic……this is standard education for all military in China (obviously) and Russia….know yourself, know your enemy, live to fight another day.
Sun Tzu’s Art of War: A Study Guide

Describe three ways in which a ruler can bring misfortune upon his army, according to Sun Tzu.
Why are spies considered crucial in warfare, and what are the different types of spies described by Sun Tzu?
Quiz Answer Key
The ultimate goal in warfare is to subdue the enemy without fighting. This preserves one’s own forces and resources while achieving complete victory.
The “five constant factors” are moral law, heaven, earth, the commander, and method and discipline. Understanding these factors allows a general to assess the conditions of the battlefield, predict the enemy’s actions, and make informed decisions.
Deception is vital to warfare, allowing you to manipulate the enemy’s perception and exploit their weaknesses. Examples include feigning weakness to encourage arrogance, appearing unprepared to launch a surprise attack, and using baits to lure the enemy into a trap.
Lengthy campaigns and sieges drain resources, demoralize troops, and provide opportunities for other adversaries to exploit the situation. Swift and decisive action is preferable to achieve victory with minimal losses.
Direct tactics are used for open confrontation, while indirect tactics involve maneuvering, deception, and exploiting weaknesses to gain an advantage. The two methods are complementary and interconnected, creating an endless series of possibilities in warfare.
Sun Tzu compares energy in battle to the tension of a drawn crossbow and decision to the release of its trigger. Energy represents the build-up of force and momentum, while decision signifies the precise timing and focus needed for a decisive strike.
Understanding the enemy’s weak points allows you to exploit them for attack, while recognizing your own strengths lets you fortify your defenses. This knowledge allows you to dictate the terms of engagement and gain an advantage over your opponent.
This analogy illustrates the overwhelming power of a victorious army against a defeated one. The difference in strength and morale is so vast that it becomes an effortless victory for the conquering force.
A ruler can bring misfortune by: 1) issuing orders his army cannot obey due to ignorance of its capabilities, 2) attempting to govern the army like a kingdom, failing to understand its unique conditions, and 3) appointing officers without considering their suitability for the task, undermining the army’s confidence.
Spies provide crucial information about the enemy’s plans, strengths, and weaknesses, enabling informed decision-making. The five types are: local, inward, converted, doomed, and surviving, each serving a specific purpose in gathering intelligence.
Essay Questions
Analyze Sun Tzu’s emphasis on knowing oneself and one’s enemy. How does this knowledge contribute to victory in warfare and beyond?
Discuss the concept of “variation in tactics” in The Art of War. How does adaptability and flexibility contribute to success on the battlefield?
Explore the ethical implications of Sun Tzu’s principles of warfare. Are his teachings inherently ruthless, or can they be applied with a sense of morality and restraint?
Compare and contrast Sun Tzu’s concept of leadership with modern military or business leadership styles. What elements of his philosophy remain relevant today?
To what extent can the principles outlined in The Art of War be applied to non-military situations, such as personal conflicts, business negotiations, or political strategies?

I would like to know who and their right mind believes a word governor Scott has to say about anything
He has lied to us continually since he was elected governor from gun rights to personal choices as far as taking the jab and everywhere in between.
We did not have a red wave in the state of Vermont we had a rhino wave that was guided closely by Phil Scott who completely hates president Trump the presidential candidate in the republican party…
I wonder how many of these in the show called red wave voted for president Trump and the restoration of some semblance of America…
I don’t know why we continue on a path to believe lawyers that run for office and a governor who was willing to someone’s out to the left..
I truly wonder if there is any hope for our beautiful little state of Vermont…
We are so easily sold out and happy to flower long like Scott was the pied Piper…
I hope That someday we will see People who are willing to fight for the truth and not cave in to the first guy that comes along and promises them paradise…
My God bless our beautiful little state and I hope that someday vermonters wake up
Conservative Governor Scott, like all politicians, is a BS artist, he won’t accomplish anything meaningful for Vermont, taxes will remain high, and new policies will be the sane progressive nonsense, but what we do know is that Scott has a severe case of TDS. and will not concur with anything Trump proposes………… pretty petty & pathetic
We deserve better from the GOP.
Whatever you may call Scott, he’s not a conservative.
No governor Scott, we don’t need to respond, at any pace, to the climate fraud.
Scott said it – verbatim. “I believe in climate change.”
Well, duh. Of course, the climate changes. From Day to Night. From Spring to Summer to Fall to Winter. From El Niño to La Niña. From Solar Maximums to Solar Minimums. From one ice age to another. As a result, the climate changes.
But what does Scott’s ‘belief’ have to do with anything? Does he believe in God? Is climate change a religious movement or a scientifically evident phenomenon?
And if it’s scientific, why doesn’t Scott explain, in fact why does he avoid saying (as do our legislators), to what extent CO2 plays in these cycles. And this isn’t a casual avoidance. Especially given that everything, I mean everything, proposed by the ‘climate change’ religious cult rests with CO2 mitigation efforts. That’s it. That’s all there is. That’s all they have.
And still, not one word explaining how CO2 emissions affect the climate more than the various other cycles mentioned above do. And not one word on the return on the investments we’re being asked to make to mitigate CO2, investments that are already, and will continue to be, devastating to our economy.
One thing is certain. These various clips of Governor Scott’s press conference demonstrate that the Governor is a consummate politician. In the words of H. L. Mencken: “If a politician found he had cannibals among his constituents, he would promise them missionaries for dinner.”
So, who cares to comment on any of the MANY short clips that were found as you scrolled down. There’s some truly amazing impromptu music settings, some dynamic exchanges with Charlie Kirk, there’s OMG cute pics and behind the scene stories of Elon’s mother, Baron as a youngster… mixed in with some really good theology nuggets that point to the prolific amount of evidence for God is found in creation; the evidence or archaeology backing up the truth of the Bible; and some profound moments of worship. What are the sources of all these amazing clips? Thanks for sharing them. I hope others take time to comment and appreciate them, too.
Thanksgiving is a great time to explore God’s ways and give Him thanks. Check out some of these amazing resources – TheHOPEProject.com is an overview of the entire Bible – take it as it is a video suitable for the whole family, or dissect it and follow the in depth study guides. There’s Trypraying.org that helps people who may wonder is God is really there? or OMG I’m desperate where are you? There’s also Godlife.com that has lots of though provoking clips. And then one that really comes up with the answers – GotQuestions.org It gives answers to 3/4 of a million questions people have asked about God and the Bible.
In this hour – we’ve witnessed a major change up in the direction our nation has been turning. God heard people’s prayers, and Trump stirred hearts with hope and vigor, and a Red Carpet covered the nation, is parting a Red Sea of Communism. Time to give God some well deserved THANKS. HAPPY THANKSGIVING
thank you for the site recommendations.
Mr. Eshelman
“Well, duh. Of course, the climate changes” and it is getting warmer.
Yes, Mr. McCormick. It’s getting warmer. It’s been getting warmer for 10 thousand years, with a couple of hiccups in the interim … which explains why the ice, that was 2 miles thick covering Vermont and nearly half the continental United States, melted.
So… what’s your point?
Mr. Eshelman
This warming is a trend that will continue warming unabated.
Yes, it has been warming since the last ice age when the Milankovic Cycle returned the planet to its steady north-south alignment with the sun. And, yes again, the cycle will return and over thousands of centuries the planet will cool.
My point is the planet’s increased temperature of 2.7 degrees F since the start of the industrial revolution. That is the trend our grandchildren and future generations will have to adapt to.
What can you say to prove me wrong?
Mr. McCormick: I’m not trying to prove you wrong. I asked you… “what’s your point?”
Yes, I agree. Our grandchildren must adapt, regardless of the trends. We all must adapt. And in that regard, the general consensus is that it’s easier to adapt to continued warming than it is to adapt to an impending ice age. Even if you happen to be a Polar Bear.
By the way; I’ve cited the Milankovitch Cycles many times here on VDC. And the Industrial Revolution is generally accepted as beginning in 1733 or so, 290 years ago. Thus, if there’s a 2.7 degree increase in temperature over that period, assuming your citation is accurate, that’s the equivalent of .0093 degrees per year.
So, again, I’m not trying to prove you wrong. I’m asking you… “what’s your point?”
H. Jay,
You won’t get a “point” because they are peddling a religion. They can’t admit that. So, the whole “climate emergency” narrative is designed to have you and me conclude that “something has to be done”.
And then our self appointed saviors can step in, remove our rights and our wealth and justify it all by saying it’s for our own greater good.
VtRocks: Thank you for weighing in. I wish more people would. And I suspect your assessment is accurate, at least for those profiting from the climate scam. But I also suspect that Mr. McCormick may mean well. And, if so, he’s a victim of this group-think, not a perpetrator of it.
But more importantly, because this debate affects all of us, we have a responsibility to do what we can to further the discussion. This is why Rob Roper’s various assessments of the so-called ‘Clean Heat Standard’ are important too.
And its why I challenge people like Governor Scott and our legislators to explain their reasoning. After all, if they don’t respond, their silence is a reflection of their implied consent to our skepticism.
If I can help to demonstrate this level of critical thinking to folks like Mr. McCormick, that’s one more person who, hopefully, won’t follow the other lemmings over the cliff… while pulling us over with them.
Mr. Eshelman
My point is simply the trend line of warming, since 1733 and the timeline. We and other living critters and plant life adapt slowly to changes in the environment. The 2.7 degrees F increase during that 290 years is trending upward and the ecosystem and species diversity are periled.
My son will reach my age in 46 years. At annual.0093 degrees F increase, he will experience about .437 Deg F increase; probably 1.52 (current) to nearly 2 deg. F. Adapting to that, in his later years, is improbable. He’ll have to survive it with air conditioning but food availability and ag water resources will be his biggest challenge.
Access the following to watch the warming trend getting warmer.
https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/?intent=121
Humans are one of the most resourceful and adaptable species on planet earth. We adapted to ice ages, to warming, and myriad other circumstances that have made us one of the most dominate species on the planet. But again, we’ve already agreed that the earth is in a warming phase. Okay. It’s a given.
But rather than continue with this torturous exercise, let me cut to the chase. Do you even remember my original concern with the Governor’s press clips?
“And still, not one word explaining how CO2 emissions affect the climate more than the various other cycles mentioned above do.”
Paradoxically, Mr. McCormick, the science clearly shows that increased CO2, one of the most important compounds on the planet supporting life, actually facilitates food production. And the problem with the graph you cited is its complete lack of context.
“This graph shows the change in global surface temperature compared to the long-term average from 1951 to 1980.”
Long term? Are you kidding? 140 years? This graph is deceptive. It’s designed to convince otherwise uninformed people that spending billions of tax dollars on CO2 emission mitigation will somehow save the planet. If it went back 1 million years, still the blink of an eye in planetary longevity, you would see much more dramatic changes in our climate.
You and the Governor suffer from the same disease… political pandering. At least the Governor, and the special interest groups supporting him, are getting rich on the charade. Prove me wrong.
Mr Eshelman
Please access the following again and scroll down to the interactive map of the globe and increasing temperature.
https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/?intent=121
Well, thank you at least for hanging in there. It’s the continued discussion, after all, that’s most important. And, of course, you already know I did see the various graphs, if you paid any attention to my comments. But what you are not understanding is that the graphs are emphasizing the change in the rate of warming from 1884 to 2022. Note that over the period, the actual temperature warmed about 1 degree.
Again, the graphs cover a period equivalent to the time it takes to blink your eyes, in relative earth time. So, I’ll reiterate that both graphs, the static graphic and the interactive graph, show time spans of 138 years or less. There are several recently published reports showing the earth’s temperature going back 500+- million years. Do the research. Most importantly, read between the lines.
Second, I’ll reiterate, again, that we agree that we’re in a current warming trend going back 15,000 years or so. But these fluctuations, according to the scientific record, are not ‘abnormal’. In fact, they don’t begin to approach past extremes, up or down.
Thirdly, I ask you again. Why are you avoiding the debate over CO2? I suspect I know why Governor Scott is avoiding it. He’s pandering. But why are you, and most other people, avoiding the conversation?
After all, there are two issues under consideration by our legislature that most affect our cost of living here in Vermont. One is public school education (that other massive pandering scheme). The second is the Net-Zero CO2 scam.
If it’s basically a coin-flip (at best) as to whether or not CO2 affects the earth’s temperature, why would we invest billions of dollars, with little to no proof, in schemes that are likely to have little if any effect?
My answer is this; look at who it is promoting this nonsense and review their record of accuracy. Then look at who is making the money.
When it comes to citing sources, perhaps it is wise (per college instruction) to view and cite more than one source to determine how many research projects come up with varible or opposing results. Relying on Big Brother to tell you what to think and what to believe, will empty your wallet as fast as your critical thinking skills. I also suggest finding the graphs on ice sheets expanding and building, rather than receding. The ice wall is still standing and the polar bears are doing well.
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2024/11/26/greenland-surface-temperatures-fall-for-20-years-in-fresh-blow-to-climate-alarm-narrative/
Melissa: Read the comments on the article you cite. There are, for example, reports that Greenland Ice is melting faster than anticipated.
I say, “So what?” The earth has been getting warmer recently. Get over it. Adapt!
My point is a reflection of the GLOBAL CLIMATE INTELLIGENCE GROUP (Clintel), an independent foundation supported by thousands of scientists and researchers, informing people about climate change and climate policies.
“Climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities: There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. Go for adaptation instead of mitigation; adaptation works whatever the causes are.”
It is this commonsense perspective that is glaringly absent in Vermont’s legislative process. And it is likely that we won’t hear or see anything from Governor Scott, Lt. Governor Rodgers, or our legislators because their expertise is in pandering, not informing.
Mr. Eshelman
Thank you for recognizing our continuing discussion.
We agree on the importance of adaptation to the continuing warming trend. I have advocated for the G.A. creating a new Committee on Climate Adaptation. The many sources of funding for repair, replacement and resilience could be pulled together under one Committee’s authorization,
And thank you again.
However, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that the problem with our current and misplaced energies is the result of and reliance on ‘committees’. Instead, we should interact as you and I have done here… of our own accord as we interact in a free market setting that has shown, over history, that being forced to act in unison, at the behest of one committee or many committees, is precisely what we should not do – UNLESS we each determine for ourselves, on our own, the correct path to follow.
Hopefully, Governor Scott and the legislature will realize that the Net Zero outcome they advocate for today, is impossible to attain no matter how totalitarian their method.
Best of luck to you, godspeed, and I look forward to more discussion.
Mr. Eshelman
I feel we are sharing our understandings of the earthly and civil matters on which we agree…adaptation. I look forward to keeping this thread open; as we can use Guy’s post of comments on the lower left of the page.
And, it might interest you if we explore the account of our relationship to the sun, at its distant 92,955,807 miles sending photons down to earth at 186,000 miles/sec arriving in 8.3 minutes and delivering 342 watts of energy upon every square meter. Flares account for an energy increase but over billions of years, it has been a constant source of heat.
If this interests you, please reply?
There is more to this than most VDC readers might understand. Lets give this a shot.
Mr. McCormick: Yes, the science always interests me… and I’ve referenced the Solar Maximum and Solar Minimum (an account of solar activity – solar flares and the like – in the sun’s typical 11-year cycle) several times. And while we agree that there are many conditions affecting our climate, circumstances that I’m happy to reiterate and discuss further whenever that discussion arises, what truly interests me is the point I made in my original comment in this thread.
“…why does he [Scott] avoid saying (as do our legislators), to what extent CO2 plays in these cycles… this isn’t a casual avoidance. Especially given that everything, I mean everything, proposed by the ‘climate change’ religious cult rests with CO2 mitigation efforts. That’s it. That’s all there is. That’s all they have.”
The answer is, of course, as plain as the nose on our collective face. Follow the money. Be it WMD in Iraq, Covid vaccines, the need for more education spending, the need for more immigrant labor, or the climate change emergency, the regulators and the industries supporting them created these faux issues, all the while controlling each other – and making billions of dollars in the process, despite their continued failures.
As Milton Friedman opined, “One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results.”
I’m being as provocative as I can politely be to challenge our legislature and executive branch of government to engage. And still… not one of them has taken up the challenge.
Perhaps you can have a more fruitful result in this regard than I’ve had.
Short of that, electing other more reasonable representatives is our only alternative. And it appears, for now at least, that the tide is turning. Climate Change extremism is but the tip of this melting iceberg… pun intended.
These wrming and cooling trends have been around since God rested on the 7th Day. Just check the ice borings that came rom the Arctic , some of which are upwards of 200years old. the scientists have extracted much information from these borings, but for some reason they haven’t made the daily papers in the Headlines. I wonder why??????
