An organization created by the State of Vermont has begun a course that industry professionals are encouraged to take to help themselves and colleagues manage “climate anxiety.”
The course is called “From Climate Anxiety to Climate Resilience”. Its description reads, “Are you a coach, educator, health or mental health provider, social worker, healer, or in another helping profession, witnessing painful stress and tension caused by the climate crisis (or “climate anxiety”) in your office or classroom?” The course runs from Sept. 11 to Dec. 4 and costs $899.
The description says they discourage participants from engaging with those who disagree about climate change but still says climate mitigating policies should be promoted whenever possible.
The goals include to “Navigate complex and emotionally charged conversations about climate change that fall beyond your training and scope of expertise.” It also states, “Move through grief, anger or despair and create climate conversations that are generative – not overly positive, but safe, realistic and empowering.”
Politics with your tax dollars
The Vermont Collaborative for Practice, Improvement, and Innovation, is a state-created entity, meaning public tax dollars are involved.
The collaborative notes that “The idea for a Vermont Collaborative devoted to Practice Improvement and Innovation originated with the Designated Agencies, the Vermont Department of Mental Health, and in cooperation with multiple other stakeholders. Start up funding has been provided by the VT Department of Mental Health through grant funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.”
Republican candidate for lieutenant governor John Rodgers recently noted on VDC’s Creemee Cast that alternative energy sector lobbyists seem to have an inappropriate influence over the Vermont legislature, which has passed alternative energy mandates that dramatically increase the cost of energy, heating fuels, and transportation.
“don’t need to engage” with opposition
The course syllabus further gets into the strategies of the group, including that participants are discouraged from engaging with those who might not share their views on climate change.
Part of the description reads, “As caring professionals, we are not climate scientists, we don’t need to engage in confrontation or political debates, we don’t need to lecture, tell people what to do, give answers or solutions, fix things, and we don’t have to fall into a spiral of despair with our clients, patients or students when the topic of climate change arises, directly or indirectly.”
“create safe spaces” for climate activists
While telling participants that they are not climate scientists, they still want these participants to take active roles in advancing policies to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The syllabus states, “We can learn ways to make others feel seen, validated, and empowered—even within the context of climate change or a polycrisis. With patience, curiosity, new habits of relating and strengths-based approaches, we can serve as guides for deeper personal transformations that not only help people shift out of anxiety and build resilience, but in the long term, lead to growing awareness, responsibility, value-driven and sustainable action, and improved health and wellbeing.”
Man-made carbon having no impact?
The state is doing this course as there is a new study by a Norway-based organization called Klimarealistene or “Climate Realists”. The primary finding of the study indicates that human activity has essentially no measurable impact on fluctuations of carbon in the Earth’s atmosphere. The study states, “Atmospheric CO2 has fluctuated as natural phenomenon, regardless of human activity.”
The abstract further states, “In conclusion, this study is the first to use multiple regression analysis to demonstrate that the independent determinant of the annual increase in atmospheric CO₂ concentration was SST, which showed strong predictive ability. However, human CO₂ emissions were irrelevant.”

In short: Embrace climate anxiety, because it’s an effective redirection of anxiety around real issues, such as the cost of living, crime, censorship, war, etc.
This is being done to again stop people from having meaningful exchanges of information, as the United Nations wouldn’t want a climate activist changing their mind based on data and facts. The question is why would the state of Vermont endorse this behavior? This is a rhetorical question, I know the answer. You might change the mind of a voter.
A climate anxiety course should be for those of us in the industry who are in jeapority of loosing everything!! Not only is the State of Vermont trying to put us all out of business but they want our help to do it!! Not a great business plan. We are cattle being pushed down a shoot that will mean Unstable energy supply and out of control prices. Vermont is already the cleanest State in the Nation as we sit today. we a are a 2.9 carbon intensity. spending 17.3 BILLION DOLLARS to get to zero should cause all tax payers anxiety!!!!
Anything to make a buck off the climate change religion. These people are nuts and if you have climate anxiety you’re nuts too. Same as those people I see driving alone in their car with a diaper over their face. They think the virus lives in their car and chases them wherever they go. My God, how did people get so screwed up?
Our government, school curriculum, politicians, and many international organizations like UNESCO make them this way because people who are making decisions based on fear and not reason and logic are easy to control and manipulate. This pattern has been repeated time and time again and most aggressively during an election.
This is fact.
People among us may be vocal about their concern that our climate is changing rapidly.
Our children understand this. Gretta and all young activists understand the trend lines are against their having children in a world on a run-away climate.
Ask any person under 30 about their next 50 years in a climate changing world. You will hear their anxiety about having to decide on a family; or not.
I for one am going to understand and participate to assure there is oversight of this.
John, Opinions are not facts, especially when the connected class to the religion is in it to make bank. Greta, please give me a break. She has been propped up by her parents and the climate cult. What about Al Gore’s predictions over the years all phony. Computers models are just that info in and info out depending on who’s doing the in and what they want the computer to spit out. The earth is 4.5 billion years old at least and man can’t control the earth. People scaring those children should be charged with child abuse because they can’t prove any of it. It’s all speculation by those pushing the fear based on how much they question can we make on hoax? My opinion!
John: Just pony-up $899 and you’ll be fine.
The people who promote this crime show probably took the Covid Kill Shot and their brains have been damaged along with their bodies.
John, I never said that climate doesn’t change or that we shouldn’t take action. Yes, we should take meaningful action that delivers real results, without bankrupting the people of Vermont. What I reject is climate alarmism. Climate cycles can last thousands and thousands of years relative to geological history. The United Nations data only considers the 1800s and forward so not a very inclusive view on climate. These cycles include cycles within cycles. We are actually coming out of a mini ice age. The earth is not on fire. That is propaganda to scare people. There has been many instances where the earth was far warmer and life flourished. There are many scientists putting fourth realistic plans and transparent data. I support effective climate mitigation policies, adaptation and driving technological innovation.
Is this a joke? Yeah, it must be a joke just like the rest of the government.🙄
Nuclear missiles will end humanity long before the changing climate has any effect. Why not concentrate on that. Oh wait…..we’ve already done that.
These idiots who have climate anxiety and need coping assistance are the weakest of the weak and literally stealing air a free citizen of this country could breathe… honestly these morons need the wroming end of a cattle prod.
I have climate anxiety every time I walk out my door, see a beautiful blue sky being crisscrossed by chemtrails which end up totally enveloping the blue sky with weird white clouds. STOP THE GEOENGINEERING!!!!
This is a perfect example of a taxpayer funded program that could be eliminated without having any adverse impact on the hard working Vermonters just trying to get by day by day. If our Legislators started to scrutinize where the money is going, who knows what would come to light in terms of wasted tax funds.
Here is a wonderful example of why Vermont struggles, in the rest of the world there would be meme about the absurdity of this program, send us money, no more anxiety. Our right fear because now you can’t eat, speaking of eating…

Vermonters are apparently abandoning their pets, thankfully we haven’t yet picked up any nasty voodoo habbits,, but we’re not too far away.
This brought tears to my eyes. Too funny,

Of course this is outlawed on any mainstream news commentary.
auto moderators at work, probably AI, we’ll see it the previous post sees the light of day. hysterical.
showing people all the lies from the 70’s to now, might make them question, of course a discussion like this, doesn’t match the “science”, science in it’s pure form seeks the truth, science today is corrupted by money, starts in the universities, then the lobbyists……
Thomas asks some very simple questions and suddenly thing fall apart.

It is prevalent in many fields….the corruption of money.
Why do we need the covid shot?
Do masks really work? I can smell your fart so what are they keeping out?
Do we need 72 vaccines?
Do we need round up on every food item?
Do we need gmo seeds?
Do we need super refined foods?
How did three buildings fall perfectly onto themselves?
Do we need seed oils?
Are those chem trails?
Why do our schools get more expensive with every program that is supposed to save us money?
If planned parenthood hasn’t moved the needle on unplanned births in Vermont, holding steady at 50%, how can they claim any success?
How come when the dems have a super majority they don’t address equal pay for equal work?
Yeah, simple questions…..
Hey, Ann Cummings…what are your radical thoughts on this liberal fleecing tactic?
This Washington County Senator is as complicit as ever in the demonic takeover of Vermont…and you claim to be a Roman Catholic like Pelosi and Biden in your support of abortion, Planned Parenthood, and the affordable heat fiasco? Just resign or face your Maker’s judgement. Change has to start somewhere…why not you, the brown nosing Senator of the radical Left?
If you have $899, I highly suggest buying, at least, three months of shelf stable food and supplies. Otherwise, hand the money over to grifters, bring your own tissue boxes, stuffed animals, and points of personal privlege to the conference of liars, deceivers, and weakest links.
I guess 899.00 dollars would buy a new judge.
if y’all pay the $899 for me, i’ll go and report back … if I live
For those weak-of-mind individuals who lose sleep over climate anxiety, may I suggest an embrace of the Serenity Prayer”, with emphasis on the part about “accepting the things I cannot change”:
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”
Rich, “accepting the things I cannot change” lead to the obvious response. Adapt to things I cannot change. Consider how much property damage could have been averted had the State aggressively pursued flood damage prevention by re-locating houses having a history of threatened river and creek erosion.
Article 9. [Citizens’ rights and duties in the State; bearing arms; taxation]
“… previous to any law being made to raise a tax, the purpose for which it is to be raised ought to appear evident to the Legislature to be of more service to community than the money would be if not collected.”
They should have called me first. I’d have been glad to do it for $299 each.
Doesn’t burning your money contribute to climate change also? Sounds like a waste to me.
