The Drive To Right Vermont is a parade Saturday, June 29, through Lamoille County with totally decked out vehicles, [motorcycles, mini cars, go-fast cars, Subarus, pickup trucks, dump trucks, even the front of an 18-wheeler].
Everyone is welcome to join. “We’re letting the county know there are good Republican candidates running for office, supporting residents concerns and not just depleting their wallets and ruining the Vermont way of life,” Drive to Right organizer Lynn LaFleur said.
The parade celebrates the local Lamoille candidates and the folks running for the statewide offices of Lt Governor, US Senate and US House. The parade event will start in Stowe at the Events Field at 1 PM (arrival) 2 PM (launch). It will go through Smugglers Notch in Stowe [just the cab of an 18 wheeler!], then through Cambridge, Jeffersonville, Johnson, Hyde Park and Morristown.
The parade ends at Farr Field in Waterbury with a huge tailgate party. So bring your grills, food and chairs. There will be music, dancing and a concession stand for those who don’t want to bring a grill. We’ll have cornhole games for some friendly competition. A prize will be awarded for the Most Patriotic Vehicle. And to top it off, Waterbury will be shooting off fireworks in their village at 9 pm. This is a great opportunity to support the candidates, parade around with like minded people and have a blast at the end to celebrate.

I plan on driving my 1936 Chevrolet pickup in the parade.
Since I had to go back to P/T work recently due to our lovely economy making things difficult financially for us older folks on disability and retirement, I sadly cannot attend these Saturday afternoon events, including today’s at the State House.
But I hope everyone has fun and stays safe!
