DHS ‘disinformation” collusion with Big Tech, PayPal $2500 fine for ‘misleading’ info both began years ago – and are still in effect

DHS began meeting monthly with Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia, and others to coordinate ‘content moderation’ efforts starting in 2020
 | 31 Oct 2022 | The Department of Homeland Security has been working to influence big tech platforms. This became originally evident when the Biden administration launched the ill-fated Disinformation Governance Board early in 2022, but has been a focus of their efforts even beyond that now-defunct unit, and before. Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit that revealed via appended meeting minutes that former Microsoft executive Matt Masterson, who was formerly an official with DHS, told a DHS director in February 2022: “Platforms have got to get comfortable with gov’t. It’s really interesteding how hesitant they remain.” This according to The Intercept… DHS would tell social media companies what they wanted off the platforms via “takedown requests,” and then the platforms would submit reports to government. They would be “called on to ‘process reports and provide timely responses, to include the removal of reported misinformation from the platform where possible.’”

Prominent American Banks Are Being Investigated for ESG, Working in U.N. Partnership on Climate | 31 Oct 2022 | Nineteen state attorneys general nationwide recently launched a formal investigation into six prominent American banks alluding to legal concerns regarding banks’ “ESG” investing and their participation in a United Nations partnership with the aim of combatting CO2 emissions. The Epoch Times reached out to one of the aforementioned AGa who said that the banks seem to be “appear to be colluding with the U.N. to destroy American companies” and subvert America’s national interests. In a separate correspondence with another AG, Epoch Times learned that these environmental policies would result in jobs being sent off to China due to the Chinese government’s policies that allow for coal-fired power plants to provide reliable forms of energy. On top of that, the banks are being requested to provide details about their CEO’s involvement in the UN initiatives and how these decisions are made. Banking actions connected to “Environmental, Social, and Governance” (ESG) investing were also investigated.

U.S. carrier strike group heading for Europe – media | 31 Oct 2022 | A US carrier strike group, led by new super-carrier USS Gerald Ford, is expected to anchor near Portsmouth in southern England in mid-November, the UK Defense Journal reported on Sunday. The exact date of the flotilla’s arrival, which includes seven other warships, has not been announced publicly, the outlet noted. Releasing such data now “might not be the best idea from a security point of view,” it added. Some of the American vessels will dock at the Royal Navy’s Portsmouth naval base, while the USS Gerald Ford will have to anchor outside, at the roadstead in the Spithead area, due to its size, according to the outlet. The 333-meter carrier reportedly hosts some 90 planes and helicopters, including fifth-generation F-35C fighter-bombers.

British navy involved in Nord Stream 2 ‘terrorist attack’ – Russia –UK forces participated in an operation which damaged Europe’s energy security, Moscow claims | 29 Oct 2022 | Units of the British Navy were involved in a “terrorist attack,” which destroyed the key Nord Stream gas pipelines, the Russian Defence Ministry alleged on Saturday. Writing on its official Telegram channel, the ministry alleged that Royal Navy operatives “took part in planning, supporting and implementing” the plot to blow up the infrastructure in September. It did not provide any direct evidence to support its assertion. The accusation follows a Russian Foreign Ministry claim that NATO conducted a military exercise during the summer, close to the location where the undersea explosions occurred. Western countries have blocked a transparent international investigation. The Defence Ministry further alleged that the same UK operatives trained Ukrainians involved in a drone offensive in Crimea earlier on Saturday.

Companies are making climate pledges they don’t have the capacity to keep, Microsoft President Brad Smith says | 26 Oct 2022 | Companies are on the hot seat to respond to climate change like never before, but most corporate leaders don’t have the tools necessary to meet those pledges, said Microsoft President Brad Smith last week at the inaugural Breakthrough Energy Summit in Seattle. “By our count, 3,470 companies around the world have signed up for a climate pledge,” said Smith. “That shows that an awareness and good intentions have literally spread around the world. Now, what’s bad: there does not yet exist the capacity for most — for almost any company — to, with confidence, turn that pledge into the progress that has been promised.” Smith was on stage at the conference hosted by Breakthrough Energy, the climate-innovation company launched by [Great Reset dirt-bag] Bill Gates. Smith likened the gap between good intentions and executable change to corporate pledges about diversity, which he’s been looking at for the past couple of decades.

While PayPal had removed the offending policy from its terms of service earlier this month after widespread outcry and calls to boycott it, users noticed a variation of the text had returned on Wednesday and took to social media to call the company out.
