After last week’s unsettling performance at the Presidential Debate, Democrats have been in full panic mode. Many Democratic pundits expressed “panic” or “pain” and began to verbalize concerns about the ability of President Biden to continue in the race.
Last Week the New York Times Editorial Board called Biden’s campaign a “reckless gamble” and argued he should drop out:
https://www.foxnews.com/media/ny-times-editorial-board-member-defends-call-president-drop-out-not-same-joe-biden
Yesterday Bloomberg reported that the DNC is formulating plans to nominate Biden formally in July shortly after the Republican Convention, which would bypass the regular nomination process:

Earlier today Texas Democrat Lloyd Doggett has publicly called for Biden to step down so the party can choose another nominee

And just hours ago the Biden white House appears to be agreeing to meet virtually with every Democratic Governor in the country to see if he can convince them to support him – or whether they should start auditioning for his job:

VTGOP Chairman Paul Dame responded with the following statement:
“This incident exposes the fundamental problem with Democrats in leadership. For months now the signs of President Biden’s capacity issues have been apparent to those willing to see. But Democrats have refused to acknowledge this reality. They had an opportunity to test their candidates in a contested primary, like Republicans did, but the elites in the DNC organized the rules in such a way to push out challengers who could have exposed these weaknesses before it was too late and avoid debates and potential stumbles as all cost.”
“Now Democrats are talking about circumventing their own primary process and overriding the will of their convention delegates because they are worried that Democrats from around the country might do something unexpected. This once again demonstrates the fact that Democrats want all power to be consolidated at the top by a few people, and that they don’t trust ordinary voters with significant decisions. This way of thinking is the true threat to Democracy.”
“I think every Democrat who voted in Vermont’s Presidential Primary has the right to get an answer from the Vermont Democratic State party, elected Democrats and especially the delegates to the Democratic convention on whether or not they agree with the growing number of left-leaning organizations and elected officials that are calling on President Biden to step aside.”
“But experience tells us that once Democrats have committed to a position, they are unwilling to move no matter how much evidence, common sense or constituent contact tries to persuade them otherwise. If Democrats continued to support record high property taxes, home heating taxes and a new payroll tax that went into affect yesterday just because leadership told them to – there is very little hope regular Vermonters have that they will listen to voters on this issue either. When it comes to Democrats everything rests on the decisions of a few people in leadership at the top, not the people at the bottom.”

At least the VTGOP is coming to its senses.
Vermont GOP votes to back Trump, waiving rule against supporting candidates convicted of felonies
https://vtdigger.org/2024/06/28/vermont-gop-votes-to-back-trump-waiving-rule-against-supporting-candidates-convicted-of-felonies/
Also, how about some protection for genuine R;s so we don’t have a phony
stealing the nominations such as was the case two years ago when this unknown carpetbagger ran as a R, and was really a full blown D, in the race for the House in Congress? Do you remember this MR Dame, or do you need some more clues?
Mr Dame,
Here is some advice. Stop spending any energy focusing on what the Democrats are doing and instead focus on getting people elected to the legislature that will right the ship (Vermont), before it sinks. The republican party is no longer a force in Vermont and poorly organized. The democrats and progressives are just the opposite. You need to change that. The majority of Vermonters will never get behind a Trump centric party. Phil Scott realizes that and I do to, and I was once a proud part of the “Vermont” Republican Party. You have to ask yourself, are you better to focus your energy on rhetoric or taking action to bring about real change?
Re: The majority of Vermonters will never get behind a Trump centric party.
Oh. Okay. Perhaps they won’t. You can lead a horse to water….
So, pander to Vermont’s progressives and pretend that ‘Trump-centric’ is unworthy of the elitist RINO administrative state. Pay no attention to eliminating cronyism, lowering taxes, establishing School Choice, controlling the border, holding criminals accountable, or re-establishing Trump’s foreign policy?
Indeed. Ask yourself, are you better to focus your energy on rhetoric or taking action to bring about ‘real’ change?
Again, at least the VTGOP is coming to its senses by supporting Trump, even while others just can’t get over their TDS.
I and many people like me will never vote for Trump, but I would consider another republican candidate. I raised a daughter and now have a granddaughter. Just Trump’s treatment of women is enough for me to never vote for him. Then add on he is a felon and has many more court cases to face shows he is a crook. Doing nothing on Jan 6th while his staff encouraged to get involved, is another good reason. He a big part of the reason this country is so divided.
There might be some good things Trump could do but he did not fix the border, did not get Mexico to pay for the wall and sucked up to dictators like Putin and Jong Un. He has filed for bankruptcy 6 times, so not a very good business person. He calls for a lot things, including school choice, but did it ever happen? The only person Trump really cares about is himself.
As an fyi, I do not like the progressives or very liberal democrats either. I see them as much of a threat to our country as Trump. But I will never support Trump.
Good Lord. I continue to wonder how many times I have to address these disingenuous progressive talking points.
“Just Trump’s (alleged) treatment of women is enough for me to never vote for him.”
What about Biden’s (alleged) treatment of women? What about Clinton? If you want to debate Trump’s case, bring it on. But just the facts please.
“Then add on he is a felon and has many more court cases to face shows he is a crook.”
So much for your understanding of the constitutional premise of due process (completion of the appeal process) and its assumption of innocence until proven guilty. The ‘lawfare’ cases against Trump (all of them) are crumbling before our eyes.
“Doing nothing on Jan 6th while his staff encouraged to get involved,…”
You forget that Trump recommended the posting of ten thousand national guard troops days before Jan 6 and that DC Mayor Bowser (who had final authority) rejected Trump’s offer. I read Bowser’s rejection letter to the Trump administration. You, obviously, did not.
“He a big part of the reason this country is so divided.”
Oh, and Biden isn’t ‘part of the reason’? Since when has the country not been divided? Michael J. Fox said it best. ‘I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence I can reach for, perfection is God’s business.’
“There might be some good things Trump could do but he did not fix the border,…”
Who do you think you’re kidding? Who initiated the ‘stay in Mexico’ policy? Who started building the wall? Which president had the lowest undocumented border crossings? And who used ‘executive authority’ to over-ride all of Trump’s border policies, creating the worst illegal migration in U.S. history?
I’ll stop there. It’s time for you do your own research instead of listening to the din of TDS. Every point you made above is innuendo. Surely, you must now know that you’ve been lied to for a long time. The Russia Hoax. The Steele Dossier. The Ukraine impeachment (it was Biden who threatened to withhold money from Ukraine, not Trump – S.O.B., watch the video). And the Hunter Biden Laptop from hell. Not only did Biden lie about this in the 2020 debate, the claim that the laptop was Russian Disinformation was promulgated by 51 intelligence officers who signed the dishonest letter penned by Biden’s now Sec. of State.
And now we have Biden’s acuity – not that we haven’t known this for years now.
In my humble opinion, you’re making a huge mistake in not supporting Trump. Because it’s not about Trump. It’s the massive corruption of our government (Federal and State) and the media that has clearly indoctrinated you. Do your own research, as I do.
I do much research and read conservative, middle of the road and liberal news medias each day. I like to read multiple views from different perspectives. I encourage you to as well. And please don’t belittle my views because you disagree with them . We do agree the government is very corrupt, on both the Republican side and the Democratic side. In my humble view, Trump will not fix that
Re: “please don’t belittle my views because you disagree with them.”
Mark, you’re entitled to your opinion. I’m simply pointing out that you don’t cite any evidence to support your views. If you do research and have certain factual information to support your views, share it.

Our current problems (corruption, war mongering, Marxist social policies) were created over a period of decades. No one President can fix them at once. Trump is a beginning though.
Biden was no worse at the debate than he has been at any unrehearsed freestyle event in the last several years. He talks to the dead, shakes hands with no one, mumbles, stumbles, falls, and makes no rational sense. Nothing was any worse or different at the debate.
This has simply been the plan all along – to get to the right moment in time to suddenly feign “realization”, and give the nod to Mitchell Obama to step in – in order “to preserve democracy” through her generosity and to guarantee her husband his next four years, and potentially eight – to continue as the POTUS and to finalize his utter destruction of the culture & Constitutional integrity of the United States of America by keeping his promise to: FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM it.
He has. He will continue.
And it will all be done with the full approval of the majority of US citizens who will giddily rejoice in having yet another “black” POTUS.
As though such a distinction offers any preferential advantage to this nation in any manner whatsoever.
It hasn’t. It won’t.
And Barry Obama has done nothing more for the USA than inciting racial hatred, creating a welfare state, and massacring an entire nation & its people while its fools fall at his feet as though he were Christ incarnate as opposed to evil incarnate.
After thinking about this, I remembered that Dame himself was a Biden supporter. Imagine, a “GOP” head supporting the opposite party for POTUS.
We have all been duped big time & the RINO’s are in on it. Sorry, if you & your bud Scott voted for this shell of a man along with the associated shell game you have been playing – there’s no turning back now. Stop the false-flag antics.
Fly your flag high, Mr. Dame – Biden For President!
If you have no backbone in supporting republicans, at least have the backbone to continue to support your “superior” candidate now against Trump – as opposed to Mitchell Obama or Gavin Newsom or whomever else your ACTUAL party is putting up as this entire CHARADE comes to a close and the nation prepares for the FINAL BLOW of yet another four years of Obama.
I don’t know how anyone can take Paul Dame seriously when he is backing the re-election of King Philip the Scott 1st Eunuch King of Castrati who won’t vote for the presidential nominee of the Republican Party Donald J. Trump, especially after Pedo Joe was exposed as the fraud he is by his debate performance. We all know King Phillip voted for Joe in the last election. So, tell Paul who will the governor be voting for in the 2024 election. RFK Jr? Jill Stein? Cornel West? Chase Oliver?
I do know one thing Phil won’t be getting my vote.
Hold up! Convention shenanigans are not exclusive to the DNC. Word has it that Arizona is manuvering GOP delegates and seeking to change rules to suit certain arm twisters. (the loyalists of No Name McStain are still alive and well) Missouri pulled this stunt:
“The Missouri Republican Party must replace 54 national convention delegates and alternates selected at its chaotic state convention because of “alarming irregularities” in the process, the Republican National Convention Committee on Contests ruled Friday. The list of rejected delegates includes two of the major GOP candidates for governor, Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft and state Sen. Bill Eigel. “The committee holds that the State Convention was not properly credentialed, and that any slate of delegates and alternate delegates adopted at the State Convention must be discarded,” states the report signed by Chairwoman Jeanne Luckey of Mississippi.”
Make no mistake, Nikki Haley is still circling like Jaws with her minions in tow (Sununu, flippity-floppy Phil Scott, et.al). Flynn is looking to pull the rug out with his NSA trained, coup revolution, tactical manuevering experience. When Flynn says he knows where the bodies are buried – he likely put them there.
Odds are the 2024 “selection season” is so wrought with confusion, delusion, and corruption on both sides, they may have to introduce a major psyop (virus? attack on US/war?) to delay or cancel it. 2020 still not fully exposed and that may be the lynch pin pulled that blows it all up ….we shall see….
Evil never sleeps but neither does God!
My good friends, who are Democrats are voting for Trump. They will not support disaster Joe. Bless him in his retirement. Good-bye ole Joe!
