Former FBI Director James Comey indicted on charges of lying to Congress, obstruction of justice | 25 Sept 2025 | Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday on charges of making false statements and obstruction of justice. Comey, 64, is the highest-ranking former federal official to face charges in connection with the long-running FBI investigation into alleged collusion between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russian officials. The former top lawman faces up to five years in prison if convicted of both counts. “JUSTICE IN AMERICA! One of the worst human beings this Country has ever been exposed to is James Comey, the former Corrupt Head of the FBI,” President Trump said on Truth Social. “Today he was indicted by a Grand Jury on two felony counts for various illegal and unlawful acts. He has been so bad for our Country, for so long, and is now at the beginning of being held responsible for his crimes against our Nation. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Comey indicted for alleged false statements, obstruction of congressional proceeding | 25 Sept 2025 | Former FBI Director James Comey was indicted by a grand jury on two counts, alleged false statements within jurisdiction of the legislative branch and obstruction of congressional proceeding, Fox News Digital has learned. Comey will reportedly turn himself in on Friday and his arraignment is set for 10 a.m. on Oct. 9, in Alexandria Courtroom 600 before District Judge Michael S. Nachmanoff. Fox News Digital exclusively reported in July that Comey was under criminal investigation by the FBI. The probe into Comey centered on whether he lied to Congress during his Sept. 30, 2020, testimony about his handling of the original Trump-Russia probe at the FBI, known inside the bureau as “Crossfire Hurricane.” FBI Director Kash Patel took to X to say, “Today, your FBI took another step in its promise of full accountability.”

Man found guilty of attempting to assassinate Trump in Florida | 23 Sept 2025 | Ryan Routh has been found guilty of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump on a Florida golf course in September last year. A jury found Routh, 59, guilty of all charges, including the attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate and a range of firearm offences. The incident happened on 15 September 2024 as Trump, then a presidential candidate, was playing golf on a course he owns in West Palm Beach, about 15 minutes from his Mar-a-Lago residence. A U.S. Secret Service agent spotted a rifle barrel poking out of the bushes and fired on the man holding it, later identified as Routh, who then fled the scene. He was arrested nearby.

Rifle behind Charlie Kirk’s killing may be untraceable relic from WWI | 22 Sept 2025 | Authorities said the gun used in the killing of Charlie Kirk may be a decades-old, untraceable rifle. Prosecutors and officials identified the gun as a Mauser Model 98 .30-06 caliber bolt-action rifle, a type originally manufactured in Germany for military use during both World Wars. It may predate U.S. laws enacted in 1968 following President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, which required firearms to carry serial numbers or other identifying marks — making it harder for law enforcement to trace. Authorities said the firearm belonged to the grandfather of Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old Utah man accused of assassinating Kirk. Police allege Robinson may have deliberately chosen the rifle because it was difficult to trace.

Lance Twiggs, 22, was led away for questioning when police swooped on the smart three-bed condo he shared with accused gunman Tyler Robinson, 22. Shaken neighbors say the part-time plumber has not been back to the 320,000 home in St. George, Utah. His beaten-up Infinity compact is still parked in his space with his work gear tossed across the back seat and a sandwich wrapper and a drink on the front passenger seat. Upstairs lights have been left on for more than a week and notes and Amazon packages are piling up outside the home owned by Twiggs’s family.

Anti-ICE shooter Joshua Jahn used Nazi battle rifle in deadly Dallas attack – experts | 25 Sept 2025 | The [alleged] anti-ICE gunman who killed one person and wounded two others at a Dallas ICE facility appears to have used a variant of a Nazi battle rifle in the attack, multiple firearms experts tell The Post. Joshua Jahn, 29, used an antique 8mm Mauser rifle when he opened fire on a bus that was unloading at the federal building, the FBI confirmed on Thursday. Authorities say he obtained the rifle in August. The 8mm Mauser is a bolt-action rifle originally developed in Germany in the late 1800s and served as one of the main weapons used by Berlin in both World Wars.

Anti-ICE gunman Joshua Jahn had ‘hatred’ for government – whose attack was ‘very definition of terrorism,’ feds say | 25 Sept 2025 | Dallas anti-ICE gunman Joshua Jahn harbored deep resentment for both immigration authorities and the federal government, and set out to inflict maximum casualties in an attack officials called “the very definition of terrorism.” Speaking at a press conference Thursday morning, Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy Larson said hand-written notes found at Jahn’s residence by the FBI referred to the work done by ICE agents as “human trafficking,” and said the Dallas facility he riddled with bullets was nothing but “people showing up to collect a dirty paycheck.” The gun used by Jahn, who authorities believe acted alone, was an “8MM bolt-action rifle” he legally acquired in August, FBI special agent in charge of the Dallas Field Office Joe Rothrock told reporters.

Dallas sniper had anti-ICE messages written on ammo; 1 dead, 2 wounded | 24 Sept 2025 | A crazed gunman who scrawled “ANTI ICE” on his ammo opened fire on federal agents and immigration detainees in Dallas on Wednesday morning — killing one migrant and wounding two others — in the latest horrifying attack on ICE and border patrol authorities. Violence against immigration agents has been skyrocketing since President Trump began his massive deportation sweep, with the Department of Homeland Security warning that threats have increased 1000% in recent months. The shooter is Joshua Jahn, 29, of suburban Dallas, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene… The killer fired multiple rounds from a sniper’s nest on the roof of a nearby immigration lawyers office. He shot into the Dallas ICE field office’s sally port, seemingly indiscriminately, with some witnesses comparing the sounds of the shots to fireworks.

The Arizona Cardinals’ home stadium was packed to the rafters, giving the event the enthusiasm and fervor of a religious revival, where much of Trump’s cabinet and key White House staff joined Kirk’s grieving widow, Erika, for impassioned remarks in reverent reflection on his life and work.

Runkles, 42, told Secret Service agents he was at the site to provide private security and handed them “inactive law enforcement credentials,” the official reportedly told the outlet.

‘Credible’ assassination threat prompts rocker to cancel Boston, Connecticut shows | 19 Sept 2025 | British rocker Morrissey has cancelled two shows in New England after his team said there was a “credible threat” to assassinate him onstage — a move that came days after an Ottawa man was charged over an alleged online death threat tied to the singer’s Sept. 12 festival set in Canada. The canceled concerts were set for Friday at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., and Saturday at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway… Canadian authorities say 26-year-old Noah Castellano posted a threat on Bluesky on Sept. 4 before Morrissey’s CityFolk appearance in Ottawa, according to court documents cited by local media. Police arrested Castellano on Sept. 12 and charged him with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He was released on 5,000 bail. A Bluesky account using the name “guy who gets shot in the head one hundred thousand times a day” allegedly wrote: “Steven Patrick Morrissey when you perform at TD Place here in Ottawa next week…I will attempt to shoot you many times and kill you with a very large gun that I own illegally.”

Trump says he won’t allow Israel to annex West Bank | 26 Sept 2025 | U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will not allow Israel to annex the occupied West Bank, drawing a rare red line over Israel’s actions in the Palestinian territory. Trump’s comments came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in New York for the United Nations General Assembly Wednesday and to meet with the president. “I will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. Nope, I will not allow it. It’s not going to happen,” Trump said in the Oval Office, acknowledging that he had spoken to Netanyahu earlier in the day on the topic. “It’s been enough. It’s time to stop now,” he added.

Israel army says will use ‘unprecedented force’ in Gaza City | 19 Sept 2025 | The Israeli military warned on Friday it would operate with “unprecedented force” in Gaza City, telling residents to flee as it presses its ground offensive on the territory’s largest urban centre. Israel has pummelled Gaza City with air strikes and tank fire in its bid to seize it, nearly two years into the war that has devastated the Palestinian territory and left Gaza City gripped by a UN-declared famine. The assault comes ahead of a planned move by several Western governments, including Britain and France, to recognise a Palestinian state at a UN summit next week. The military launched its ground assault on Tuesday and has for days been telling residents to head south, but many Palestinians say the journey is prohibitively expensive and they do not know where to go.

Trump calls for an investigation into three ‘sabotage’ events at the UN | 24 Sept 2025 | President Donald Trump on Wednesday asked United Nations Secretary General António Guterres to investigate three incidents that occurred at the UN General Assembly a day earlier, including an escalator malfunction. Trump said the three issues were the escalator, his teleprompter malfunction and an audio issue in which people in the audience could not hear the speech if they did not use an interpreter’s earpiece. The White House on Tuesday night called for an investigation into the escalator malfunction, which occurred on Trump’s way to his speech with first lady Melania Trump, after the Times of London reported Sunday that UN staffers joked that they may switch off the escalator during Trump’s visit. “A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday — Not one, not two, but three very sinister events,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Wait for it…” tweeted Trump special assistant Margo Martin, with a panned video of the gold-framed portraits, beginning with George Washington nearest the White House residence before reaching pictures of Trump and the autopen. Trump, 79, personally inspected the latest Executive Mansion renovation in a photo tweeted by the official White House account.
