
Police are investigating after a classic car was stolen in Jay yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified on Wednesday that a 1980 International Scout was stolen from a home on Stony Path Road. The vehicle was later recovered from the scene of a crash on Cross Road.

On older cars without sophisticated security devices, it is prudent to have a hidden ignition kill switch. Unfortunately, there are no consequences these days to stealing someone’s wheels in Vermont where the charge is called: “operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent”.
