Canaan dad arrested for threat to school

A parent of a Canaan Memorial High School student was arrested by New Hampshire State Police in Colebrook, New Hampshire yesterday afternoon and charged with harrassment in connection to threats made to the school June 13.

At about 2:45 pm, New Hampshire State Police took Shane Gobeil, 36, of Canaan into custody in nearby Colebrook, NH. Gobeil was charged with Harassment and was subsequently held on Preventative Detention.

Neither Vermont nor New Hampshire State Police say what caused the alleged threat.
