President Joe Biden has joined the push by top Democratic leaders to now call for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s resignation following an explosive Aug. 3 Attorney General’s report that substantiated numerous sexual harassment allegations made against him.
“I think he should resign. I understand that the state Legislature may decide to impeach, I don’t know that for a fact. I haven’t read all that data,” President Joe Biden said Tuesday, Aug. 3, shortly after the Attorney General’s report was made public.
PLATTSBURGH | President Joe Biden has joined the push by top Democratic leaders to now call for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s resignation following an explosive Aug. 3 Attorney General’s report that substantiated numerous sexual harassment allegations made against him.
During a White House press conference on the COVID-19 pandemic, Biden addressed the newly-released report by Attorney General Letitia James following a five-month independent investigation into allegations by several young women and staffers.
Previously considered allies, Democratic leaders across the state and nation are now calling for accountability and swiftly demanding Cuomo’s resignation.
Asked if Cuomo should be impeached, Biden said “Let’s take one thing at a time here.”
“I think he should resign. I understand that the state Legislature may decide to impeach, I don’t know that for a fact. I haven’t read all that data,” Biden said shortly after the report was made public.
In a video to New Yorkers following the report’s release, Cuomo continued to deny any inappropriate actions and defended himself, saying “Politics and bias are woven throughout all of this.”
In a joint statement, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said “As we have said before, the reported actions of the Governor were profoundly disturbing, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable. Today’s report from the New York State Attorney General substantiated and corroborated the allegations of the brave women who came forward to share their stories – and we commend the women for doing so.
“The New York State Attorney General has conducted an independent, thorough and professional investigation that found the Governor violated state and federal law, had a pattern of sexually harassing current and former employees, retaliated against at least one of the accusers, and created a hostile work environment.
“No elected official is above the law. The people of New York deserve better leadership in the governor’s office. We continue to believe that the Governor should resign.”

Why doesn’t Andrew Cuomo simply defend himself in the face of all this in the tried & true usual, convincing way? It was President Trump’s fault.
BTW, if the democRATS actually want this dude ousted, they must have quite a total & complete psychopath waiting in the wings to replace him…….apparently, effectively murdering tens of thousands of senior citizens in nursing home facilities wasn’t QUITE psychopathic enough.

Being a member of a protected class (a democrat), he was able to fend off the results of his murderous decision to place recovering COVID patients back in nursing homes, but the “me too” contingent is out for blood now. If the fawning media and the rest of his decrepit party ignored this level of atrocity, it would damage their “credibility”.

He was faced with a shortage of hospital beds. And now, he’s been convicted of nothing. “Guilty, whether or not proven innocent.
The Javits Center, converted into a hospital and the navy hospital ship Comfort were both available and largely unused in NYC awaiting such a scenario but the Love Guv didn’t want to make President Trump look good so he chose to not use them. Figlio di Sfachim lied, people died.
He seemed to be responding better than most other governors.

Has he been convicted of any crime? Particularly concerning a failure during covid? Or are you just as fascist as what the Left claims?
In this Constitutional Republic of the USA a person is not guilty unless and until proven so. To call someone a “communist, you liar, bcause they disagree with you is the tactic of the violent Left.
Totalitarianism, fascism, as I’v previously stated, can come from all directions.
In the “you can’t make this stuff up” department, his defense seems to be what he is reported to have said: “I do this all the time!”
His response was the typical sociopathic double speak. If you listened closely he portrayed himself as both victim and hero of his current situation. He even referred to how he teaches his daughters life lessons with utter lack of remorse for any of it.
