Police are looking for a man and a woman who robbed a Rockingham cannabis dispensary.
The Vermont State Police is investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred Monday afternoon, Aug. 26, in Rockingham that is believed to be connected to two other robberies at banks in southeastern Vermont. The identities of the two suspects, a man and a woman, are under active investigation. The public is cautioned that the pair should be considered armed and dangerous.
Cannabis stores generally have a large amount of cash on the premises because under federal law they are not allowed to participate in most banking activities.

At about 2 p.m. Monday, troopers responded to the Rolling Twenties Dispensary located at 440 Rockingham Rd. in Rockingham following a report of an attempted robbery. Investigation revealed that a man and a woman entered the business and demanded money and marijuana.
The man was described as about 40 years old, white, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and wearing a white/light gray long-sleeved Henley shirt over a dark, possibly black, long-sleeve undershirt, with gray sweatpants and brown work boots. The man had short brown hair and wore a black ball cap with a white stripe on the brim. He was wearing dark sunglasses, blue latex gloves, and a black N-95 mask. The man had a bulge on his right hip that was believed to be a firearm.
The woman was described as about 40 years old, white, heavier-set, and standing about 4 feet 11 inches tall. The woman was wearing a dark blue/black hooded fleece with a front pocket, tight blue jeans, and a brown leather belt. She had red hair tucked under a short-brimmed black cap and was wearing dark sunglasses, blue latex gloves, and a black N-95 mask.
The two individuals were driving a blue 2021 four-door Chevrolet Silverado short-bed pickup truck with New Hampshire license place No. 527 0106. The truck was last seen in Cheshire County, New Hampshire, on Monday afternoon as it fled from police into Massachusetts.
The vehicle and the suspects are believed to be connected to armed robberies at two banks Monday, one in Bellows Falls and the other in Brattleboro. Local police departments in those communities are investigating those incidents, and questions about them should be directed to the local departments.
The Vermont State Police asks that anyone who might have information regarding the attempted armed robbery in Rockingham call the VSP Westminster Barracks at 802-722-4600 or email Detective Sgt. Dan Hall at daniel.hall@vermont.gov. People also can submit an anonymous tip online at https://vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.

Drugs and crime go together like bees and honey.
We wonder why legalizing drugs has increased crime, huh…..
Just another day at the Vermont zoo.
When it comes to crime, armed or burglary; it seems too many people don’t have a clue. Sooner or later you will be caught. If our Vermont judicial system would just keep them locked up (especially the violent offenders) this state would be a much nicer place. But the word is out among criminals. Vermont judicial system won’t keep you behind bars. So as our Vermont Judicial System fails Vermont, more from other states are flocking to a land of milk and honey for the criminals. Let’s not forget illegals aliens (without jobs) coming from the northern border of Canada.
Vermont wants to build a women’s prison. What they need to do is build a real prison and a real mental health facility with sections for women. But instead, they are trying to heal the planet and chase windmills while allowing criminal predators to roam our roads, cities and towns. You get what you vote for.
If I were a shop owner, I would not allow anyone to enter wearing masks or gloves. Both should be treated as a red flag. I would have an armed security guard at the door and said guard could feel free to watch for red flags and make weapon searches before customers could even enter the store. OR the pot, the money & my employees would be behind bullet proof glass. Someone needs to come up with a locking vestibule system. Let the crooks enter the vestibule to leave but have both doors lock with the flick of a switch. The criminals can bide their time in there until the police arrive. If the legislature and the legal system refuse to protect us….it is time store owners get creative. The state is making money off of these shops but won’t protect them by prosecuting the people robbing them. When will the people of Vermont say that enough is enough?
“driving a blue 2021 four-door Chevrolet Silverado short-bed pickup truck”
This is a government sanctioned spy device. They could easily find out where this truck is at all times, and probably pull all of the camera and audio footage from it. They can also remotely disable and control various functions.
The question is, if this spy control tech isn’t being used to catch criminals, who is it meant to be used for?
I don’t think the problem is catching them….the cops do a pretty good job at that. The problem is that our esteemed legislators have changed the rules that judges need to use to lock offenders up after they are arrested. The legal system has been turned into a revolving door. And then there is that pesky little problem about a certain States Attorney that actually brags about not doing the job she was appointed to do. Funny that she still takes that paycheck though. The technology works for the cops – they generally get their man/woman – it is just that nothing gets done after that. The police have a pretty thankless job…they put their life on the line everyday…for what? The offender is back on the street in a couple of hours and assigned a court date they will just ignore. Vermont is turning into a cesspool and it won’t change until one or more of the bleeding hearts at the State House is personally affected by a criminal event because they don’t give a rat’s patoot about the rest of us. Just my opinion.
Build a prison and they will come! Demand justice from the courts. Stop the revolving door.
As long as you have a liberal justice system that follows its own agenda instead of following the laws and punishments, I believe everyone needs a second chance and prove themselves, after that, all the return offenders on their second offense, get them locked up to the full extent of time that’s on the books, and once the word gets out all this nonsense will stop !!
Don’t whine if you voted for these liberal officials, you are part of the problem.
Sign a contract with the Mexican government to house VT’s criminals No need to build prisons and tax people more. Wash your hands of these sub humans. Simple solution. When the word gets out to the criminals, they will pick on another state and run like the cowards they are.
