Another sex crime suspect wanted on a Florida warrant was arrested by Vermont Police – the second in just one week.
A Coventry resident, Raymond Lucas, 55, was arrested after troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop in St. Johnsbury and determined he had an active $100,000 extraditable warrant from Florida. The warrant stems from multiple charges including obscene communication using a computer to solicit a child (two counts) and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony (two counts). Lucas was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing and later lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex.
Jonathan Browne of Live Oak, Florida was arrested on sex crime warrants by Burlington police on December 22.

Trying to enter parked cars: Vermont State Police are investigating a report of suspicious activity on Main Street North in Wells River. An unknown male (see photo) allegedly attempted to gain entry into two parked vehicles before damaging a business sign and leaving the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Rodzel at 802-222-4680. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through the Vermont State Police website.
DUI arrests:
• Bruce Stone, 45, of Barton — Arrested following a single-vehicle crash on Elm Street that resulted in damage to a utility pole and mailbox. Stone was later located at his residence and showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident and is scheduled to appear in Orleans County Superior Court on Jan. 18.
• Carver Delp, 22, of Ferrisburgh — Stopped on Ethan Allen Highway in Charlotte for traveling 88 mph in a 50 mph zone. Troopers observed signs of impairment and arrested Delp for DUI. He was cited to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on Jan. 15, 2026, and also received a civil violation for excessive speed.
• Anthony J. Curtis, 68, of Milton — Arrested after a trooper observed his vehicle drifting off the roadway on I-89. Curtis showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for DUI. He was later released with a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court.
• Michael Merrick, 27, of Bedford — Arrested after troopers responded to a report of an impaired driver in Moretown. Merrick showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for DUI. He was cited to appear in Washington County Superior Court.
• Kristy Rosberg, 44, of Jeffersonville — Arrested following a traffic stop in Johnson after troopers observed multiple moving violations. Rosberg showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for DUI. She is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court on Jan. 7, 2026.
Also, David Fox, 63, of Newbury was arrested following a December 28 traffic stop in Newbury. Fox was operating the vehicle with a passenger sitting on his lap while there was a young child in the back seat, police say. He was also charged with cruelty to a child, negligent operation, and reckless endangerment. He was cited to appear in court January 14.
Domestic assault arrests:
• Benjamin Roberts, 38, of Colchester — Cited for domestic assault after police responded to a reported disturbance at an apartment in the Fox Run building. Investigation determined Roberts entered an apartment to retrieve a juvenile family member and became involved in a physical altercation. He is scheduled to appear in Washington Superior Court on Dec. 29.
• Andrew J. Sumner, 37, of Bristol — Arrested following a reported domestic disturbance on Carterville Road. Investigation determined Sumner caused a household member to fear imminent serious bodily injury and violated conditions of release. He was lodged at Marble Valley Correctional Facility on $2,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court.
• Brandon Holt, 26, of Williamstown — Arrested following a reported family disturbance on Northwind Drive. Troopers determined Holt had committed domestic assault and he is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on Dec. 29.
