The wife of accused cop shooter Scott Mason and others have been arrested for hiding Mason’s whereabouts from police.
Mason was the subject of a several-day interstate manhunt before police found him hiding next door to his St. Johnsbury home.
As a result of their ongoing investigation of Mason’s alleged Dec. 13 shooting of Capt. Jason Gray, on Friday, Jan. 17, state police detectives arrested:
- Patrice Mason, 36, of St. Johnsbury, Scott Mason’s wife: Charges of accessory aiding in the commission of a felony, and negligent storage of firearms resulting in serious bodily injury. Jailed for lack of $10,000 bail at the Northeast Correctional Complex.
- Jonathan Russell, 45, of St. Johnsbury: Charge of accessory after the fact. Jailed for lack of $1,000 bail at the Northeast Correctional Complex.
- Tisa Russell, 45, of St. Johnsbury: Charge of accessory after the fact. Released on a citation.
- William Drew, 44, of St. Johnsbury: Charge of accessory after the fact. Released on a citation.
- Amber Labrecque, 35, of St. Johnsbury: Charge of accessory after the fact. Released on a citation.
All suspects except Labrecque are expected to appear for arraignment at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in St. Johnsbury. Labrecque’s arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Feb. 10.
Gray was seriously injured and is recovering at home.
