NEWPORT — A nationally touring Elton John tribute show will make a stop in the Northeast Kingdom later this month, bringing a theatrical rock concert to the Tasting Center in downtown Newport.
“Elton Dom: The Young Elton Experience,” starring 21-year-old musical prodigy Dominick Fulco, will play two shows at 150 Main St. — at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, and 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15. Tickets are on sale at EltonDomLive.com.
The show bills itself not as a tribute act but as a time machine, transporting audiences to the early 1970s when Elton John first stormed the stage. Fulco, a Yamaha-endorsed artist from Tampa, Fla., performs on a grand piano rig originally created for Elton John himself. He is backed by a full band including Jakob Dee on drums, Kenny Tashjy on guitar, Caleb Lattimore on bass, Joel Perez on keyboards and Ajay Sims on percussion.
Fulco is no stranger to the NEK. He performed in the region during the summers of 2024 and 2025 with his family’s band, The Fulcos. Dee also previously played with the group.
The Newport engagement is produced by Michael “Chase” Gosselin of Visceral Entertainment, a New York City-based production company with shows running in New York, London, Chicago and on tour across the country. Gosselin is himself a Northeast Kingdom native who ran Act Three Theatricals in Derby between 2007 and 2012. He is remembered locally for productions with Vermont Family Theatre, QNEK, North Country Union High School and the Newport Church of God, among others. The Newport stop marks his first return to the NEK since staging a large-scale production of “Tarzan” at NCUHS in 2015.
The shows are presented in collaboration with Newport Downtown Development, a nonprofit working to revitalize Newport’s downtown. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the organization.
General admission tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for ages 16 and under. VIP packages are available for $75 and include reserved high-top table seating, complimentary Elton John glasses and merchandise, and a post-show meet-and-greet with Fulco.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from local vendors Sol Cafe and The Flaky Crust. The East Side Restaurant will operate a cash bar, with wines provided by Eden Specialty Ciders. Doors open one hour before each performance.
