Another 40 Days for Life Rally – a “Mid-Point Rally” – will be held 3 pm, Sunday, March 7 at Washington Street, Barre, near the local Planned Parenthood clinic.
The location will be the same as the kick-off rally held Sunday, February 14. As seen in the photo above, dozens of participants lined the street praying and holding signs protesting abortion.
As with Sunday’s vigil, the March 7 mid-point rally will have opportunities for participants to sign up for dates and times for prayer, fasting and vigil, and pick up materials. Parking is readily available streetside and at 16 French Street. Organizers ask that no-one park at the nearby dental office.

According to its website, “40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses.” The international organization claims to have contributed to the saving of more than 18,000 lives, and the closing of more than 100 abortion clinics.
Planned Parenthood, with clinics statewide, is the largest abortion provider in Vermont.
